10.01.2022 This week is Homelessness Week - a chance to highlight what is a major issue in our community. Auburn suffers from the second highest level of homelessness in N...SW. This is not just people sleeping rough, it is single people couch surfing, people living in their car, single mothers and their children in emergency accommodation or groups of people crammed into small apartments. We are lucky in Auburn to have organisations like Barnardos and Mission Australia who are working hard to help people in need, but we need to build more social housing and provide secure work to address the issue of homelessness across the state.
