24.01.2022 This week we fitted a new set of Motion Control Suspension Dampers to a Porsche 996 GT3. These are a 2 way adjustable non remote system with 14 clicks of compre...ssion and 18 of rebound and ride height adjustable. The repeatability and range is excellent. One click of each adjuster can be felt by the driver. Although these are a pure motorsport shock built to the high standards for competition, many enthusiast purchase these for cars driven on the street and club sprint events. We also supplied the Eibach twin spring setup, upper camber plates and RARB mounts for the rear struts. An excellent package for many vehicle brands. Track day this weekend. Good times ahead. 19.01.2022 One of our services we provide includes shaft reconditioning. This is often dearer to repair & we only perform this work for vehicles that have a significant hi...story or value to ensure the shocks remain original and when new parts can no longer be bought. Both reasons are why this strut insert was repaired for a Targa based car driven by the late PB. Often with inverted strut bodies a lack of maintenance and poor seals around the body cause wayer to be trapped in the strut leg which causes shaft corrosion & leaking seals. Some before & after pics of the shaft repair. We only sell new non-inverted struts from Motion Control Suspension. With steel bodies and modern structural designs these units are as good if not better than inverted struts and much lower maintenace required. Need work on your shocks? 12.01.2022 Prior to the 2nd lockdown in Victoria, we completed some suspension mods for a Porsche 987 Boxster for track day running. Some before & after shots of parts we ...have replaced & fitted. The shocks are Motion Control Suspension 2-way adjustable units, compression & rebound non remote canister systems fitted with Eibach twin coil over spring arrangement. The adjustable strut mounts were supplied by USA Porsche aftermarket specialists Tarett Engineering for the rear & Elephant Racing for the front. We are an Australian dealers for all three USA brands for those looking to modify your Porsche for track days. The front lower arms were replaced with billet made adjustable units for wheel track, camber & caster & new ball joints from Elephant Racing. The steering arms were also replaced with bump steer adjustable items to ensure they had better angularity with a lower ride which was approximately 20-25mm lower than standard. The roll bar drop links were replaced with adjustable Tarett Engineering items to ensure the corner weights were not affected by poreload settings.. The rear dampers have a large gas chamber to ensure the exhaust pipes do not overheat the shock which is a common problem for these cars when pushed hard. This is an important consideration when purchasing aftermarket shocks. The spring rates are higher for track work but not out of the window for driving on the street. The rear subframe is also an issue for these 987's for movement under high lateral forces. Via Tarett Engineering, we purchased a Rennline subframe stiffener which will resist movement & reduce tyre wear. Have a look at the pictures & let us know if you have any questions. 06.01.2022 Some BF racing struts got the RSA treatment last couple of days. The problem when you purchase any shock for track days or motorsport they need to be tested eve...ry 12 months to ensure you are maximizing the cars potential. Cheap shocks have cheap parts. These shocks had old seals which created alot of stiction which can be seen by the sharp line up from zero before going the other way. The oil had deteriorated too far. Not ideal at all. Not all shocks are the same. If you want reliability and performance from a motorsport shock then come see us about our MCS and JRi shocks. To fix the BF strut wasnt really worth the cost based on a replacement unit but with a major suspension redesign on the car for next year and with new shocks from us already committed for 2020 we managed to fix the oil leak and give them a quick tidy up for one last run this year www.racingshocksaustralia.com.au or call us on 0407 951 990 See more

06.01.2022 It has been a while since posting but has been crazy busy as we get back to some sort of normality. We have processed plenty of shock orders via Racing Shocks Australia & have also had plenty of shock service work. Continuing on from testing in 2020, we will be supporting ASM with the Alfa TCR cars with the season kicking off this weekend. We also have found time to attend Tampered Motorsport Track Days & perform some alignments for some track cars. The owner of this Skyline ...replaced all the OEM suspension with GKtech suspension components which I rate. It was a mega setup involving widening the track, altering cambers, casters, bump steering all four corners, corner weights & balancing the droop in the suspension. Owners comments after his first drive at Sandown yesterday "Car feels amazing, corner grip is awesome". And this is just the start. Roll on 2021! See more

01.01.2022 The most up and down racemeeting I have ever had, multiple engine issues, related unrelated the lot! 1st in Race1 ,DNF Race2 ,2nd Race3. We didnt give up this... weekend no matter how much the car rejected the spare engine! The bloody thing even caught fire after race 3.. Now we need to have a think and decide if we can get this all sorted and repaired by next round. All in all better than going home on the Thursday. See more
