20.01.2022 It can be really tempting to sleep in every day while you’re on school holidays. But consider getting your body into a routine a couple of weeks before school g...oes back. It’ll be easier in the long run than constantly missing the bus or your lift to school. It can also be really useful to limit screen-time before bed to improve your quality of sleep. #ReadyForSchool #TheNextStep #TasGovEducation #LearnersFirst

19.01.2022 Reminder that the Riverside Swimming Carnival is on tomorrow at the Riverside Aquatic Centre. The 5/6’s are on from 9:15am-11:50am, followed by the 3/4’s from 12:15pm -2:50pm. Please note that times are approximate. 5/6 students are to arrive in their bathers and 3/4 students will get changed at school. Due to COVID restrictions, we are only able to invite one parent/guardian per child to this event. Spectators can also not bring another child unless they are in a pram. We appreciate your full support around this. We encourage all students to participate where possible, remembering that students who are marked as beginners or at risk cannot enter the completion pool. We are looking forward to a fantastic day tomorrow.

11.01.2022 Despite the rainy start in Launceston, the Grade 5 Long Day Excursion will still be setting off as planned this morning, with students asked to meet at the gym at 7:45. The forecast for the NW coast today is mostly clear with possible showers mid-late morning. Please ensure students have packed a coat and/or a small umbrella that will fit in their backpack, as well as spare shoes and socks. Sun hats, drink bottles and packed lunches are also a necessity. 09.01.2022 What a terrific time our Grade 4 students had today! Our first stop was Cataract Gorge where we were taken on a tour by Cecilia who gave us a greater understanding of the indigenous significance of the area. We created beautiful mandalas out of natural materials and had a great time playing games. Later we visited QVMAG at Inveresk where we viewed some interesting exhibits including the Tamar Estuary Exhibition. We were also treated to some fantastic workshops run by students at the Big Picture School about how to reuse materials to make bikes, which in turn raises money for the UNHCR. How awesome! Thanks to everyone involved and to our wonderful parent volunteers!
