14.01.2022 Training doesn't always have to purely serve function and purpose... Mostly it does... But coming into summer. You know some of my boys are out here gettin' it. 12.01.2022 Yet another disappointing announcement. RPW Performance will be pausing all Memberships and awaiting the return of clients face to face. As unconscionable as the decisions and announcements are, I cannot expect you to give any financial support whilst receiving less than what I can deliver. It just doesn't sit well with me...... Especially given the extensive lockout from my own business. I am overwhelmed by the support of my amazing clientele, so thank you all so much. I look forward to the next opportunity to post with good news and seeing all your faces again soon! Ironic that we could throw a party and have a few beers together but can't train?! In faith, Your Coach - Rhuss

06.01.2022 Following on from yesterday's post about conditioning programs. See a free example of what your running program might look like. This is based off someone who can maintain at least 5m/s over a Designated Time Trial. Be warned - this is for my top 50% of Runners. If you don't have an established base, do not attempt the suggested distances. Also, there needs to be a week by week progressive overload principle applied for adjustment of the program.... We see the use of: 1 Lactate Threshold 80% of Aerobic Speed (Develop Aerobic Capacity) 2 Extensive Intervals 90% of Aerobic Speed + Active Recovery (Develop Aerobic Capacity) 3 Explosive Repeat ALL Out 180% + of Aerobic Speed (Develop Speed + Alactic Capacity) 4 Aerobic Threshold 75% Aerobic Speed (Low Stress Aerobic Capacity)

06.01.2022 What does a typical session look like? In short - it depends. Sessions differ from client to client. Things like training frequency, goals, sport, stage of competition and a variety of other factors impact how we structure our sessions at RPW Performance.... 1 EXAMPLE 1 (Early Phase Powerlifting) Here is an example of a program that emphasizes main lifts (powerlifting) with accessory work to supplement training. Stay tuned over coming weeks as I display some different programs and how or why they may be implemented to suit your training needs and goals. #RPWperfomance #powerlifting
