25.01.2022 Hello! Are you interested in reading an interview with Rrocklobster feature band of the week Paper Plains? If so, click below! Here's a snippet to intrigue and/or confuse you... "Pat: Us being The Veronicas, or twin girls, he’s like the more butch one. Let’s pretend every twins have a more butch one! He’s that and I’m the big girl over here just going eeeeeeehhhhhh, all the time. At least in my head, as silly as I made that to be that’s how it is for me. I think for some re...ason I always want to sing higher than I should so I’m constantly trying to sing higher than Matt. It’s not conscious but it just happens and Matt’s the harder [style singer]; his voice breaks up a lot more than mine. I don’t really try to go harsh all the time like I used to in my previous band. That’s kind of good because it means he can do the harsh stuff and there is a bit of that transition and we play off each other vocally." See more

Let it be noted than Tom Ware knows ALL THE THINGS about guitars :)... "Pat: We were exploring more sounds with guitars It was free range for everyone. Tom Ware knows all the things about guitars. Matt: It was pretty cool, we found a lot of really good tones and there’s a picture of all the different amps and guitars we used and there was something like ten different amps and seven or eight different guitars we used. It was really cool, I enjoyed the process it was good fun. Pat: It was hot! Middle of summer, in a room with no ventilation, literally just sweating into each other. Jess: In a warehouse! Matt: There was a lot of sweat, and not even because we were doing anything really good it was just hot! Pat: The beer helped. But then when you start coming down off the beer you go ‘Is this real life?’ "

05.01.2022 Review of Paper Plains album Anaestalgia.

04.01.2022 Rrocklobster has been spending a lot of time at YaYas in the last week, soaking up the last few shows before it closes down. The bottom of the YaYas glass has by no means been the dregs, and the last few days have been characterised by fantastic, underappreciated local talents that have always found a home at YaYas. The best show over the last week has been Game of Tones, hosted by Skank or Die. A range of everybody’s favourite local Ska bands were included in the lineup and ...the crowd contained all the usual suspects: all friends or friends-of-friends of the bands. A couple of young lads boldly wandered in clearly looking to 'pick-up' but they were met with disdainful looks from everyone and a telling-off by one of the most well regarded members of the local punk scene, Pat Decline. The unwelcome guests were eventually ejected from the bar, and ska fans didn’t let it sully their evening. That wasn't my review..... this is my review!

04.01.2022 Alex The Kid played the Cranka in Adelaide last night. They're currently road trippin' to Melbourne for tonight's show at 303. If you're on the east coast check out the event link below for a show near you. Rrocklobster hopes they have a great tour!

01.01.2022 This week's feature band, The Disappointed had a little chat with the lobster. Now the lobster is in the corner clawing at the keyboard getting something together.... You'll be able to read all about it later this weekend on the new blog. Don't forget, The Disappointed are playing on Sunday at The Newport. Get yourself down there and check them out!

01.01.2022 "It was a warm, friendly affair, and a sing-a-long, and requests were called out from the bar stools and longue chair until the last floating candle burned out." Read what the lobster has to say, then head on over to the Breaking Punk page to see their photos.

01.01.2022 Hey Perth! Watch football and then get hit by a football at the following times. The The Decline will record your screams as it happens.
