23.01.2022 BEIRUT RELIEF Today marked the last day of donations and what an overwhelming response not only from the Lebanese community but the whole community of Australia. We will be loading the containers tomorrow, 3 in Melbourne and 2 in Sydney and they will depart Australia on Friday 28th of August directly to Beirut. Once they arrive they will be delivered directly to the Lebanese Red Cross to distribute to the people of Lebanon that need it the most. I’m so humbled and honoure...d to be facilitating such a amazing project. I would like to thank everyone who donated, helped and spread the word, I own you my eternal gratitude. A very special thank you to Victorian Lebanese Community Council for finding the project and to CITO Transport for donating all the cartage and finally Vertex for allowing us to use their warehouse this project couldn’t of be completed without your help. 16.01.2022 Hi Guys, we’ve been advised by Red Cross in Lebanon not to send used clothes or items. We also can’t send medicine, aerosols, flammable liquids or gases. We have all felt helpless half way across the world but the generosity of not only the Lebanese community, but the whole community coming together to help support us is amazing. Though we can only wish this horrific disaster never occurred, it has shown how resilient the people of Lebanon and those abroad are. My endless thanks to those who have and those that are going to donate.
