20.01.2022 Great news from UK Gvts research. Now to convince Australian Gvt that choirs arent a high-risk-activity!

20.01.2022 Hugely missing the full Cathedral Choir singing. Heres a photo of one of my predecessors- the great and godly Michael Hemans: here with three of his sons who w...ere choristers in the choir. And heres me, with three of mine, on the first Sunday my youngest joined, who are all itching to sing in our beautiful building again. We tried to recreate the original photo in the same spot. A little bit of Australian history: 1 Cathedral, 2 choirmasters, and 6 chorister-sons, almost 50 years apart. God is faithful. See more

17.01.2022 Missing singing hymns together? On Sunday there will hopefully be some lovely hymn singing at home, and led by our own St Andrew's Cathedral Choir, Sydney! Why not video yourselves singing along with them and post it on our wall? The order of service (inc. hymn words) is downloadable on the menu button on the the Cathedral's Facebook page. Their service will go out at 10.30am EST at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1aotMfB3Tuwnapjj3j2R_Q

14.01.2022 Dear friends- we could really do with your help as we're engaging with Government re. their response to the Coronavirus. We need hard facts: are you aware of ANY transmissions via Choral activity in Australia? I haven't heard of a single one, (and I know about Our Lady of Lebanon Cathedral in NSW). I'd hate to make a claim that our Australian choirs have been virus-free if they haven't, so please would you mind asking around our networks ASAP? Could you put the word out by any means you can and ask them to private message us. Thanks so much! Ross, (RSCM Australia National President)

01.01.2022 The day before churches were shut down in Sydney, we very quickly recorded with (a very reduced and distanced) St Andrew's Cathedral Choir, this beautiful piece... by Philip Stopford: 'Do not be afraid'. The words are very meaningful at this time. Please feel free to share it if helps. More music, inc. several hymns were also recorded, and we'll share them shortly. We hope that you find them all useful in this difficult time. See more
