21.01.2022 As the sun rises, hundreds of Canberrans will commemorate Anzac Day with a dawn service at the Australian War Memorial. We'll be streaming the event, in addition to the national ceremony, so join us bright and early (or dark and early) and you can be a part of it.

03.01.2022 VHW Canberra Martial Arts feedback from participant. - The two 1.5 hour sessions were very useful in terms of practical self defence techniques and general situational awareness principals. Although the sessions barely scratched the surface of self defence, there were plenty of opportunities for practice in the very well set-up premises. The instructor (and principal) Tom, was very knowledgeable and communicated well with the participants. In summary, well worth the time spe...nt in attending. - The two day seniors’ introduction to self-defence was extremely beneficial and well run. It focused on techniques that were relevant to seniors and addressed situations that may present themselves to our age group- getting cash from an ATM, opening the front door to a stranger, leaving a restaurant at night etc. The techniques presented and practised were aimed at allowing you to remain conscious, to regain the initiative, to call for assistance and to protect yourself and family. Attendance at further training is anticipated.
