20.01.2022 Are you a Baby Boomer? If so, our latest research launched today shows your generation is set to radically change the face of the aged care system for ever, with expectations for more funding, greater services in your own home, and more interesting activities in communal residences. The research also shows that Baby Boomers’ priorities for aged care are different from previous generations with more emphasis on high quality food, exercise opportunities, ‘wellness support’ and travel excursions. Interstate and overseas travel is the most important group activity that Baby Boomers want, followed by foodie experiences such as culinary tours, vineyard tours and restaurant visits. 17.01.2022 Last week, members of the War Vets RSL sub-Branch at our Narrabeen village were presented with medallions and certificates in recognition of their "service and contribution to the war effort and to the freedom of nations" as part of the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII. This was the first chance they had to come together as a group since March - a truly special day of recognition for some truly special individuals. Thank you to Jason Falinski for being part of the presen...tation. #VPDay #Veterans #Community #Recognition Photo credit: Warren Alston

16.01.2022 This holiday season, the support we provide to veteran families is critical. Whether it is covering urgent costs that put food on their table and keep a roof over their heads, or providing wellbeing programs and social connection that help manage and improve mental health. You can provide hope to a veteran family in need by donating to our Christmas Appeal: https://fundraising.rsllifecare.org.au #VeteranServices #Hope

12.01.2022 While many of our locations hold a service each year, this year, our Remembrance Services were low key and modified from previous years to help ensure physical distancing and consistency with current COVID-19 health protocols. This did not stop our locations from paying their respects to our Veterans. #WeRememberThem #LestWeForget #RemembranceDay2020

01.01.2022 GOING BALD TO RAISE MONEY FOR OVARIAN CANCER RESEARCH. Two lovely ladies with hearts of gold, Kay DeMestre and Natalie Carter from Florence Price Gardens abandoned vanity today, shaving off their luscious locks to raise money for Ovarian Cancer research. Their selfless act was watched by onlookers on-site who were amazed to see their transformation. The inspiration for the feat was sadly inspired when a friend had an Ovarian Cancer diagnosis, a registered nurse from Ballina TAFE and mentor to many RSL LifeCare staff. Lets help them reach their goal of $5000 http://ow.ly/vbpJ50CsYvV #PeopleofRSLLifeCare #Caringforourcommunity
