25.01.2022 RSL Care SA hosted a morning tea at our ARVL emergency accommodation in Sturt today to introduce some of the ARVL residents to a new service that is available to them in addition to the support services they access through Open Arms - Veterans & Families Counselling and the Jamie Larcombe Centre. Pop-Up Community Care provides in-home nursing care to veterans through a DVA Community Nursing program. The services are delivered by Registered and Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care workers to enhance a veterans independence and health at home. We have seen first-hand how these wrap-around services positively benefit ARVL residents and their overall wellbeing, and look forward to the positive contribution of Pop Up Community Care.

24.01.2022 RSL Care SA welcomes Julia Sweeney as a Life Member of our Association. Julia was a Board Member of RSL Care SA for 8 years from 2009 to 2017. As a lawyer, Julia’s principal area of practice was aged care and retirement villages, together with providing corporate and commercial advice to corporations and associations, for profit and not for profit. During Julia’s time on the Board, RSL Care SA experienced a particularly challenging period and her wise counsel and steadfast s...ervice was invaluable, not only through this time, but throughout her years on the Board. RSL Care SA is an extremely well governed and trusted not for profit due to the expertise, tireless dedication and numerous years of experience that our volunteer board members bring to the organisation.
