12.01.2022 Unfortunately Remembrance Day is not a public holiday & has become difficult for people to attend. So this year, Gembrook RSL are holding an alternative event, something not attempted in Gembrook before, the: 'Post' Remembrance Day Service. It will be held at the Gembrook Uniting Church (corner of Ure Road & Mountain Road Gembrook), commencing at 11.00am.... The service will be conducted by Dr. Cyril Payne with music provided by the Fellowship Brass Ensemble. Vocalist Simone Van Gaarlan will preform a solo as well as singing the New Zealand National Anthem. The service will incorporate all the traditional Remembrance Day ceremonial items, including the laying of wreaths. Our State & Federal members together with Cardinia Shire Councillors have indicated that they will be attending. On behalf of the Gembrook RSL, we would be honoured if you, your friends and your family were able to attend the service and join us this coming Sunday as we remember those who have served our nation.

09.01.2022 A very big thank you to all who assisted with or attended the Remembrance Service in Gembrook yesterday morning. A special thanks to Dr. Cyril Payne and the Fellowship Brass Ensemble for conducting the service and for providing the excellent music, to vocalist Simone Van Gaarlan for leading the singing, and to the folk of the Gembrook Uniting Church for allowing us to use their facilities. Your time and effort was appreciated. Now let's see if there is enough enthusiasm to do something similar next year,,,,

07.01.2022 Gembrook RSL would love to thank the Humbuckin Pickups for their great performance on Saturday night. Also a huge thank you to the great crowd of people who came including the new faces and of course all the familiar faces that make these events a great time out.In the future we will be having regular afternoon/evening gigs for people and musicians alike to enjoy.Thank you all so much for your support and hope to see you all again soon..Gary Hughes Gembrook RSL Bar Manager

07.01.2022 NECESSESITY TO RE-HOLD THE 2017 Gembrook RSL Sub-Branch Inc ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The new AGM date is Sunday the 30th of April, 2017, commencing at 10.30 am at the Gembrook RSL... At this meeting all Executive and Committee positions will be vacated and voting is required to elect the Office Bearers and Committee for the next 12 months. To be eligible to vote, either in person or by proxy, or to nominate for any position on the 2017 Committee, there is a requirement that you must be a financial member of the Gembrook RSL Sub- Branch. If you have not already paid your 2017 membership fees, I encourage you to do so as soon as possible. It is a harsh reality that our club needs financial members in order to ensure its continuance. The membership fee for 2017 is $35 per member. This meeting is your opportunity to have a say and provide input into helping decide the future direction of your club. Your ideas and opinions, no matter how insignificant you may think them to be, are always welcomed and encouraged. It could be you that turns a previously unthought-of and brilliant idea, into a beneficial reality for us all. We hope to see as many as possible at this AGM. Sunday the 30th of April, 2017, 10.30am
