I loved being a mum but they are big enough now that they no longer need me and I am looking forward to the quiet life now. Thorn is a spunky bunny if his name didn't already give it away! He is looking for a forever home where he can spend his days running around the backyard and coming inside for a cuddle at night. ... Being a Rex rabbit Thorn is known to be quite calm at times, but don't let that fool you, he still loves playtime and can be the perfect companion to a home with children. Thorn will need to be kept in a safe hutch or enclosure where he can be kept nice and cool on the hot summer days and snuggly and warm on wintery nights. Being so young I would really benefit from going to puppy school to teach me all the good doggy manners. Due to being a working breed, I will have quite high energy needs and am also going to grow into a larger size dog. I arrived at the shelter with my brother Ruckus but the two of us together can be a bit much, we don't like sharing food so it's best we go our separate ways! I enjoy socialising with other dogs, but due to my home history of fighting over food it's best I remain as the only dog in the home. I don't really know my own size at times, I may accidentally knock into you and for this reason I can't go home with any littlies under the age of 12. I came into the care of the RSPCA through no fault of my own but I'm now ready to find my forever family. Could that be you?... I am friendly and loving but being a rabbit I can scare easily so I don't like being handled too roughly. A little time and patience with handling should have me snuggling up to you in no time. I am looking for a home to be able to relax with my new family and be able to spend the days sleeping and eating. I would love a big hutch that I could run around and play in but it has to be secure because I can also dig and escape. I would hate to get out and leave you! A secure cage also helps protect me from predators that maybe don't like rabbits as much as you. I love my rabbit pellets but my favourite foods include fresh veggies and fruit. Don't be fooled just because I'm a rabbit I also love toys. Anything that I can chew to wear my teeth down so they don't over grow. My favourite time of year are the colder months because I don't do well in extreme heat. You will need to bring me inside or give me frozen water bottles and wet towels to cool me down.
