25.01.2022 This is Brooklyn and she was adopted recently from our Blue Mountains Shelter. Her family has let us know that Brooklyn is an expert snuggler who has fit in comfortably with everyone. It's great to see another successful adoption!
25.01.2022 Another post-adoption update, this time from Roger. As you can see, he has made himself very comfortable in his new home. When he isn't relaxing with Friday and his adopted dad, he's out at the local cafes and parks being the centre of attention and loving every bit of it. Roger has settled in quite well and loves a good cuddle. Good to see Roger doing so well!

20.01.2022 Ari was adopted from the Blue Mountains Shelter back in April and has quickly become part of the family in her furever home. While she may need to do a bit more growing to be able to fully appreciate some of her toys, she does enjoy walking the trails and playing in the creek near her house and gets along well with all of her friends. Thanks to Ari's family for sharing with us!
18.01.2022 This little girl, now known as Boba, has grown up into a fine little girl since being adopted from the Blue Mountains Shelter. She is still cute, but has learned a fair amount of new tricks. Boba has also gotten along very well with her new roommate.
16.01.2022 This beautiful girl is Lilly! She was adopted recently and quickly became comfortable in her new home with her new family. We appreciate this update on another happy adoption from the Blue Mountains Shelter.

16.01.2022 Face Masks Made and Donated to the RSPCA Blue Mountains Branch A fabulous initiative has been undertaken by the proprietor and staff of the Katoomba Camping and Hardware store in Waratah Street that has seen several hundred dollars raised for our Blue Mountains branch to directly help the animals at our local shelter. Louise, Dea and Mickie from the store came up with the idea of buying material and making wonderfully decorative face masks for sale in their store and donating... all the proceeds to the shelter. The masks have been so popular that supply has not been able to match demand! This is a fantastic example of how valued and important Blue Mountains shelter is for our community. Unfortunately, just at the moment they are not able to make many, but if anyone is willing to sew them, the shop is very happy to supply the material and cord free of charge as they are now turning away 10 to 20 people a day who want to buy them. Please, contact Katoomba Camping and Hardware on 4782 2982 if you are able to help out. All the dogs, cats, goats, birds, horses and sundry other animals who find safety, support and care in the Blue Mountains shelter send out lots of barks, licks, meows, chirps and snorts to Louise, Dea and Mickie for their wonderful work. Thank you very much! No panda was harmed during the making of the facemask featured.
14.01.2022 What's black, white and cute all over? Murphy of course! Murphy is a gorgeous, fluffy girl who's on the hunt for her perfect furever home. She is very well behaved however, she is hard of hearing so needs an understanding family who has experience with Border Collies or working dog breeds. If Murphy sounds like the girl for you why not come into the shelter to meet her. ... 14.01.2022 Have a look at some of our longest residents at the Blue Mountains Shelter. Gandalf the White YOU (bugs) SHALL NOT PASS! Because you will be eaten! Hi, I’m Gandalf the White and I’m patiently waiting for my new forever home. I’ve been in care for over 52 days and I am looking for a loving family to look after me, preferably with someone who has had quails before and understands my needs. If you have friends for me as well that would be tops! My profile can be found at https://www.adoptapet.com.au/pet/788418 Hope to see you soon! RON: 251000123
10.01.2022 RSPCA RON: 251000223 Introducing Lumiere! Can I be your guest? Can I be a part of your family? Hi, I'm Lumiere and I'm here to light up your life. ... I like my fellow rabbits can live around 8 years but since I'm neutered my life span can be up to 10-12 years! How amazing is that! Our teeth also never stop growing. The act of us chewing helps wear our teeth down so they don't get too long, so it's a good thing we like to eat. We need a balanced diet consisting of fresh green veggies, hay, high fibre pellets, along with small amounts of carrot, apples, etc... we also require constant access to fresh water, and a comfortable straw bed in a box. My favourite type of hay to have in my bed is oaten so I can have midnight snacks. If Lumiere sounds like the perfect fit for your family, why not contact the shelter and enquire about him today. Lumiere’s adoption fee is $45. This includes desex, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment. If you'd like to know more about Lumiere, please call the Blue Mountains shelter on (02) 4782 2674 Alternatively, you can check out www.adoptapet.com.au for more information. See more
08.01.2022 Have a look at some of our longest residents at the Blue Mountains Shelter. Tessa I have been in care for over 114 days and as much as I love the staff here at the shelter, all I am dreaming about is my new forever home! Because I have Addison’s disease I do have to have daily medication but I’m such a good girl and gobble them up in my meals with ease. I love long walks and snuggling up next to you on the couch. My profile can be viewed at https://www.adoptapet.com.au/pet/772598 Hope to meet you soon, Love Tessa xx RON: 251000123
05.01.2022 Have a look at some of our longest residents at the Blue Mountains Shelter. Morganite and Sapphire Aren’t we just so sweet? We are a brother/sister duo who came into the shelter as strays and after spending time in foster care gaining confidence and weight we are now patiently waiting for our new forever home together. Having b...een in care for over 52 days we cannot wait for our moment to explore a new home!
