23.01.2022 The beautiful Jordan is our Cat of the Week. AID# 1243886. She is a 1 year old Domestic Short Hair mix. Her price will be $82.50 for the next week. https://www.rspcaqld.org.au/adopt/search/animaldetails Hey there humans my name is Jordan pronounced Jordarn as I am a classy kinda lady. ... I am a chatterer..I will be happy to tell you all about my day (whether you want to hear it not), I love talking to my humans and if I am honest I have also been told that I am a pretty darn good listener too. If you need a bit of cuddle therapy after a long days work..I am definitely your gal. I am very neat ...just putting this out there as I don't like a lot of mess (I am also a discrete toilet user, naturally as I said I am a classy lady). I would love to be an inside family member that way I am nice and safe....plus I feel like I would improve the look of the couch, just sayin. If you think I could be the one for you please fill out an application online and come and say hello to me.
22.01.2022 Who can resist Coco our Dog of the Week. He is a 2 year old American Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. $175.00 https://www.rspcaqld.org.au/adopt/search/animaldetails Hello everyone its Coco and I'm just as sweet as the drink. I am a gentle shy boy that would love to make you my new companions.... If I could be allowed indoors and a part of the family that would make my day, just remember to have a jar full of treats for me on the counter. Please take things a bit slow and be patient with me as I can be a bit worried in new environments. I like to take it all in, in my own time. If there are older children at home please bring them and any calm older female doggo that is also a part of the family to come out and meet me. Hopefully you will have a nice sized secure yard for me to run around in and explore. I can't wait to be a part of your home and life. I'm so excited to meet you so please come out and say hello. 14.01.2022 Are you a life-saving unicorn and don’t even know it? Unicorn foster carers are few and far between and they’re always in high demand. We’re not asking you ...to foster a unicorn, or even a horse. We’re looking for: Medium and large size dog carers with secure fencing and no other pets in the household. Orthopaedic cat and dog carers (there’s less involved in caring for these guys than you might think!) Adult cat foster carers Apply to become a unicorn foster carer and together, we can change lives: www.rspcaqld.org.au/volunte/foster/foster-carer-application Skye is just one of our animals given a second chance thanks to a unicorn foster carer. Once an orthopaedic case recovering from hip surgery now a total sweetheart looking for a forever home of her own. See Skye’s online at www.rspcaqld.org.au/adopt/search/animaldetails
13.01.2022 OJ is our Dog of the Week. He is a 2 year 1 month old Kelpie mix. $175.00. https://www.rspcaqld.org.au/adopt/search/animaldetails OJ is an active, affectionate young lad looking for a patient, understanding and experienced dog owner who will help keep him active. He is not for first time dog owners. He also needs a calm home environment and must meet all members of the family at time of adoption. He is not suited to a family with young children. He had little socialisation ...in his previous home so will benefit from further training and daily mental and physical stimulation to keep his body and mind active. OJ is very smart and keen to learn! He is best suited to a home with structure and routine and an owner who will set him up to succeed. If you think I might be the perfect fit for your family, please fill out an adoption application today! https://www.rspcaqld.org.au/expression-of-interest-to-adopt

12.01.2022 Adrian in our beautiful Cat of the Week. She is a 1 year 2 month old Domestic Short Hair Mix. She will only be $82.50 for the next week. https://www.rspcaqld.org.au/adopt/search/animaldetails Hi guys, I'm Adrian and I would sure like to have a place to call my own. I would love to have a home that is quiet, calm and with adults only as I really don't like the hustle and bustle of a busy household. I'm more of a laid back girl that likes to take things at my pace, but once I ...get settled in I will come out of my shell. If you have the time to help me get used to my new place I would be a happy girl. I am litter trained and am not a messy girl, I like things nice and tidy. I do like to have pats and will ask for them by head bunting you hand, but I do want to go slow. If you are looking for a beautiful girl like me check out my profile on the Toowoomba RSPCA website. I can't wait to meet my new owner. See more

11.01.2022 HEATWAVE WARNING Start freezing those enrichment packs! Temperatures are set to soar across Queensland this weekend. Remember your pets! OUR TOP TIPS: All... pets should have an ample supply of shelter and water and do not tether your dog in the backyard. Never exercise your pet during the heat of the day. Sunrise and sunset are the best times to take your dog for a walk in summer and steer clear of hot bitumen. Never leave your pet unattended in a car or on a ute! Watch for signs of heatstroke in your pet! Flat faced dogs (Brachycephalic breeds) are more susceptible. Don’t forget our wildlife! Leave extra containers of water out for birds and smaller animals. If you see an animal in distress contact our 24/7 Animal Emergency Hotline 1300 ANIMAL (1300 264 625). For more tips (for all animals) see: www.rspcaqld.org.au//pet-ca/keeping-all-types-of-pets-cool

08.01.2022 Simple scraps from the table can turn your world upside down. It’s not just toxicity you need to consider when feeding your pets extra treats from the table ...this festive season. Tex, a 4 year old Boxer mix was rushed to veterinary care earlier this year with an obstruction. The culprit? A corn cob With his owners unable to cover the costs of his treatment, Tex was sadly surrendered and transferred to RSPCA care. Tex hadn’t eaten in a week and was vomiting. The corn cob had become stuck in his stomach and caused significant damage. Luckily, the surgery was a success and Tex was able to find a loving forever home soon after Be careful this festive season, and if in doubt leave it out of your dog's bowl.
