09.05.2022 Another day, another round robin complete! The eight teams competing at the Hardy Cup 2022 have now completed two full robins and are expected to finish a third tomorrow before moving into the finals series on Friday. Robbie McCutcheon - GCH Racing currently leads the fleet, with Jack Littlechild - CYCA , Finn Tapper - CYCA and Jed Cruickshank - RSYS close behind.... 21.04.2022 Can’t miss our sailors in racing red! 15 members of the Squadron Keelboat Program are currently competing in the Hardy Cup 2022 and all have had a very success first day. After the first round robin Jed Cruickshank’s team is in fourth, Max Paul’s team is in six and Garth Bickford’s team is in seventh.... The three teams have at least 14 more races to go before the next stage of the regatta allowing for a lot of opportunities to move further up the leader board. 16.04.2022 Congratulations to all our youth sailors who competed at the NSW Teams Racing Secondary Schools Championship 2022! RSYS was represented by 16 sailors across two teams including the Redlands senior team. The two teams placed 16th and 18th overall after three days of tricky racing in light wind, rain and occasional sunshine.... A big thank you to all the parent and Member volunteers who provided support both on and off the water during the regatta! RSYS

After two years of postponements, restrictions and various challenges, RSYS is excited to host the first internatio...nal youth match racing event in Australia since 2020. The Hardy Cup is open to youth sailors from across the world and promises to offer up to four days of racing on the beautiful Sydney Harbour. 23.03.2022 A weekend of champions for our Laser and Optimist programs! At the NSW/ACT Laser Metropolitan Champions our sailors performed exceptionally well despite in tricky conditions on Pittwater. In the 4.7 division our sailors filled the top four spots, secured a forth place in the Radial division and first place in the Standard division. Congratulations to all of the sailors that participated! At the club, the Optimist sailors and their parents enjoyed a Q&A session with Mina Fe...rguson. Mina spoke about her experience in the Optimist and the various performance pathways available to sailors. She also gave the sailors and their parents some practical top tips. 04.03.2022 Key Dates for your diary! Our youth sailors have a busy few weeks ahead with a special Opti Talk, the Laser Metro Championships and the Optimist NSW Championships. The Opti Talk kicks off the events, beginning at 4:30pm on Sunday afternoon. The practical presentation by Mina Ferguson will provide sailors and their parents an insight into performance sailing. After the talk everyone is invited to enjoy RSYS Original Pizzas under the shade sail. Bookings are required.... Whilst the task is on our Laser sailors will be testing their skills @rpayc for the Metro Championship. Good luck to all ten of the sailors attending the regatta. The Optimist Championship will conclude the busy few weeks with 11 sailors competing out of RPAYC. Good luck to the sailors in both the Green and Open fleets! 28.02.2022 A successful start for our teams at the ACT Teams Racing Championship! Currently, both RSYS teams are undefeated with three wins and are tied on first place with Cranbrook 1. 23.02.2022 Opti-mania at the TT4 regatta on Sunday! 11 of our upcoming sailors headed to Hunters Hill for the fourth round of the Optimist Travellers Trophy over the weekend. Spread across the Green, Intermediate and Open fleets our sailors had a lot of fun racing next to Cockatoo Island.... For several sailors, this was their first regatta after graduating from the Optimist Transition fleet earlier this year. 13.01.2022 Youth Sundays are back! Rain or shine our sailors are always keen to get on the water, but this weekend they stayed ashore whilst the storms passed over Sydney on Sunday afternoon. Taking advantage of this break from sailing our coaches pivoted their sessions to focus on teaching the sailors some race theory and rigging techniques.... 11.01.2022 The ultimate training location Against the stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbour, the Squadron Keelboat Program held their first on-water training session on Monday since the lockdown began in June. The senior squad sailors enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of racing on the Clubs fleet of Elliott 7s in a light Northey breeze and a quite Sydney Harbour.... With the junior squad resuming training next Wednesday, the program will now focus on preparing the sailors for a busy competition schedule over the upcoming summer period.
