Drivers transport clients from their homes around the community to medical appointments, shopping, social events and to perform errands. Transport is provided on weekdays, in business hours. 15.01.2022 From today, the RU Volunteering Centre at 25 Fitzroy Street will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays each week between 9am and 2pm. Staff will be on hand to assist with any volunteer enquiries, and prospective volunteers can find out how to get involved and start helping in the community. 02.01.2022 The Community Visitors Scheme run by Centacare New England North West is looking for volunteers. Volunteers visit isolated residents in nursing homes once a fortnight. If visits aren’t permitted, volunteers can write letters or talk to the residents on the phone. These residents do not have family to visit them and would love some companionship. ... Volunteers must have a original birth certificate or passport for identification at registration. All volunteers will have police checks completed by Centacare.
