02.01.2022 The Community Visitors Scheme run by Centacare New England North West is looking for volunteers. Volunteers visit isolated residents in nursing homes once a fortnight. If visits aren’t permitted, volunteers can write letters or talk to the residents on the phone. These residents do not have family to visit them and would love some companionship. ... Volunteers must have a original birth certificate or passport for identification at registration. All volunteers will have police checks completed by Centacare.
