12.01.2022 For some of us, home isn’t always a safe place. Please know help is still available during lockdown. Crisis services are open for women and children experiencing family and domestic violence. Support is also available for men who are concerned their behaviour is hurting the people they care about. Please call if you, or someone you know, need support.

03.01.2022 Even through times of adversity, we are overwhelmed with the generosity of our amazing community. We have had many wonderful donations to our women’s refuges that will go towards making the lives of those escaping family and domestic violence a little brighter this Christmas. You can add a little sparkle to those who need it too, by donating to our Tree of Hearts appeal. $30 can provide a Christmas meal for someone experiencing homelessness, $50 can leave a present under... the tree for the child of a mum escaping family or domestic violence, and $100 can provide a struggling family with a care pack of essential Christmas groceries and supplies. 02.01.2022 We are so excited to share that Ruah has achieved Rainbow Tick accreditation - national recognition of our commitment to providing safe and inclusive services for the LGBTI+ community. Over the past two years every aspect of our operations has been reviewed, refined and assessed as part of our Rainbow Tick journey and we are thrilled with the assessors feedback: Ruah has done a tremendous job in the preparation for the Rainbow Tick assessment. Each standard and each criterio...n has been given considerable thought, not only to how the organisation will achieve compliance, but also to how the principles will be embedded into the organisation’s practices at all levels. The extraordinarily innovative initiatives undertaken by Ruah are to be noted as far and above the benchmark for a first time Rainbow Tick assessment. To earn the accreditation and be acknowledged by QIP - Quality Innovation Performance Limited in such glowing terms is great recognition of everyone at Ruah including our staff, carers and the people with whom we work.
