It is never ok for someone to assume you have given consent or to force you to keep going if you want to stop.... A person does not give their consent include if they: do not have the capacity to consent due to age, or a mental or physical impairment; are asleep or unconscious; are threatened, forced or afraid; are restrained against their wishes; are tricked or mistaken about the nature of the act, or who the other person is; or are tricked into thinking the other person is married to them. Also, in some cases, you can argue that you did not give consent because of another factor. COVID-19 has effected the world in many ways and its also effected a lot of ways people operate their day to day lives. At Ruby Gaea we are currently accepting phone or Skype counselling. We've put this in place, to not only to protect our clients and the community but also to protect our staff members and their families. We also appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation. Its safe to say, we will be reopening our office on the 8/06/2020 (YEAHH), but if you wish to continue to do phone or Skype counselling, that will still be an option for you all. We would like to start off with thanking, Bess the Manager at F45 Darwin, for putting this amazing event together and may I say "what a fantastic turn out!". You and your team did such an outstanding job and made us feel very welcome. The day was full of laughter, sweat, empowerment and support. So, we thank each and every one of you. ... As a client of Ruby Gaea, you have the right to expect that: Your individual privacy and confidentiality will be respected Your independent consent will be respected; You can access all information about you, held by Ruby Gaea; You will be fully informed of the types of counselling service provided; You will be referred to other services as required; Services will be provided to you in a manner, which caters for any physical requirements you may have; Services will be provided to you in a cross-culturally appropriate manner; You may use an assumed name (excepting in counselling services involving children and custodial parents/ caregiver; You will choose whether to report the incident to police ( excepting within mandatory reporting requirements) You can use an interpreter of your choice if/when required You can make compliments, complaint and/or provide any other feedback on services received.
