20.01.2022 I recently completed the makeover design of Talent Focus' website - taking it from DRAB (tired looking) to FAB! The design is now more streamlined, easier to navigate and boasts a cool background video. The colours are designed to keep the brand colouring while complimenting the layout and content. There are also some really complex elements that took a lot of Javascript programming on the back end - an example of this is the rotating job listings on the front page. My CS...S skills also got put to test during the designing phase. The ongoing task at hand now is optimising the SEO settings and keeping an eye out for any problems. 13.01.2022 Cordova Garage Doors is a Liverpool (Sydney) based family business servicing all your garage door repair and replacement needs. Last year my garage door was buckling and hanging on a thread - about to drop on my car! I called the original installer who refused to even come and have a look at his dodgy work. Luckily I phoned Julio from Cordova Garage Doors and he was there within a half an hour and repaired my door the same day at an unbelievably reasonable rate. Friendly... service, speedy delivery and a great price - what more can you ask for? 04.01.2022 "I just want a job, mum" said my 11-year-old to me when I woke up last weekend to find him in his pyjamas in front of my computer. He was creating faux Instagram posts for one of my clients, Talent Focus. He had handed in his resume at the local coffee shop across from his school the week before, hoping that they will employ him after school hours to wash the dishes or anything, really. He is desperately trying to save up money to buy various species of insects that he wants ...to keep as pests (eh, sorry I meant "pets")... He prepared his first ever resume - even found an online guide as to how to do it properly and proudly presented it to the lady at the cafe. He promptly added that he did not have any prior experience but that he was very motivated, and would make an excellent employee.
