25.01.2022 An amazing day spent with a gorgeous new client who drove all the way from Bathurst to shop with me. Now, Thats style commitment! We had a lot of fun and Aimee is going home with a car, full of shopping bags. So many beautiful outfit combinations packed with style. It was such a pleasure working with Aimee, a mum of a 2 year old boy who was looking for a wardrobe makeover. 24.01.2022 I did the 3 hour personal shopping experience with Laura and I cant recommend it enough! I was at the point where I had nothing to wear and had lost confidence in what suited me especially after becoming a mum. I also find shopping really overwhelming but with Laura it was totally enjoyable. She really listened to what I was looking for and I felt instantly comfortable and at ease with her (felt like an old friend Id known forever!). Laura had pre-selected items for me to ...try on so 90% of the time was spent in the change rooms. As we went she mixed and matched items and told me how to wear them, taking photos along the way. I also felt I could be completely honest with her and if there was something I wasnt a huge fan of, we would scrap it (though it was great that she opened my eyes to new looks!). But the majority I loved and I walked away with loads of bags and a whole new wardrobe, and not to mention a huge boost to my confidence. 23.01.2022 Nothing like a hardcore gym class on a Monday morning to blow away the weekend cobwebs and set me up for the day. Ready and raring to go and see one of my repeat clients, Ive been shopping with for years. Its been a few years since we did a wardrobe audit though and Im sure Ill find a number of pieces that have been forgotten. Its always good to do a wardrobe consult before a shop. Its a great exercise to sort through what is actually being worn and not. If things are...nt being worn, then we work out why. If we feel its the wrong style or size or colour or fabric, we add it to the pile of things to either be sold or donated to charity. If its not being worn, it needs to be out of your wardrobe as its taking up valuable space. Everything in your wardrobe has to earn its place. Its pointless having a wardrobe full of clothes if you are only wearing a handful of items. I have a little wardrobe challenge for you Over the next few weeks, every time you wear a hanging item from your wardrobe, turn the hanger the opposite way. Youll be able to see what pieces you are wearing the most. Try not to wear the same item twice! Its very easy to fall into the trap of wearing outfits on repeat. 17.01.2022 Fathers Day is just around the corner (Sunday 6th September) and I know most people struggle with what to buy for their dads as a gift. Well, why not treat them to a mini style makeover? Ive styled so many guys over the years of all ages, shapes and sizes and i can safely say, most men would generally say they do not like shopping. (I know there is a small percentage of men who love shopping) but most would say they dont. I find a lot of my male clients struggle with k...nowing which brands to pick for their bodyshape and sizing, as well as not knowing what styles or colours suit them best. They generally dont like being dragged from store to store, browsing through rail after rail and often buying items that dont work cohesively with their wardrobe. During my sessions, I pre select various items to create a very easy to manage #capsulewardrobe for my clients. Every piece can be mixed and matched for different occasions resulting in a very functional wardrobe. 05.01.2022 Yesterday’s wardrobe session was great. Tanya had already sorted through her wardrobe prior to me arriving to cull a lot of items that she knew she no longer wore. After going through Tanya’s colours and bodyshape, I then applied that theory to her wardrobe and we were able to cleanse another pile of clothes. When you are looking at your wardrobe and going through each item, ask yourself when did you last wear that item and how did it make feel when you wore it? If it’s not ...something that is adding value to your wardrobe, it needs to go. We now have a targeted list of items that we need to compliment pieces in Tanya’s wardrobe. Can’t wait to shop! STYLE TIP A really good tip is to turn the coat hanger around the other way, every time you wear an item and put it back in your wardrobe. He was not in need of a drastic makeover as he already had a good sense of style. However, to his own admission, hates shopping. He finds the whole experience frustrating and overwhelming.
