22.01.2022 Hi everyone, well we are open for business and we cant wait to see you all again! We hope that you have made it through Covid-19 with as little stress as possible. Mick has been busy around the park fixing up the gardens and generally making the park look even more amazing. I have been working at Montcler aged care looking after some lovely people. With the new Covid-19 regulations there are a few changes around the park. ... There is a 4-page deceleration form for each booking to fill out. This to help us protect the health and well-being of all our guests. There is hand sanitiser for you to use on entering the office and only one person in the office at a time when booking in. There are more signs around the park reminding you of all the hand washing, social distancing, and steps on how to stop the spread of Covid-19. We have put more soap stations around the park and we are still waiting on hand sanitiser dispensers to arrive. We have closed the middle toilet and shower to maintain social distancing regulations. There are Covid-19 information books in each unit, the laundry and camp kitchen with all the Covid-19 information in it. So please come and visit us. See you soon! Thanks, Vanessa and Mick. One of our customers found a massive 92 carat Sapphire a couple of weeks ago while out "specking" in the fossicking fields. What will you find? See you soon thanks Vanessa and Mick.

20.01.2022 Hello friends! How great is this? We are so looking forward to seeing our park full and bustling again this winter. Lets build Australia back up... holiday local, holiday in regional Australia. We want your business! ... See you soon, Vanessa & Mick To book, email [email protected] or call 07 4985 4118

20.01.2022 Hi everyone I hope you are safe and well. I thought I would let you know that the Rubyvale Caravan Park is open for business. Mick has put up more hand washing station around the park and I have made some homemade lavender hand sanitiser for people to use when they come into the office. We only allow one person at a time in the office when booking in so as to maintain the social distancing protocol from the government. This is our quiet time of year so there is plenty of spa...ce with most sites offering between 3-5 meters space between each caravan. As we know travel and social gathering restrictions can change on a daily basis. We will endeavor to let you know if things change for us here at the Rubyvale Caravan Park. While things are changing on a daily basis, Rubyvale is ready to support the many travelers that are on the road and looking for somewhere to park up for a while, as well as those travelers that are unable to return home. At the moment and subject to change as per the Government restrictions, the - Rubyvale friendly grocer is open and will take phone orders and deliver to the caravan park if needed. They also supply petrol. The bottle shop at the New Royal Hotel is open from 2pm to 8pm each day and the kitchen will be open for take away orders from 6pm to 8pm. Miners Heritage Showroom & Fossicking Park is open for trading 10am till 2pm daily. Mine Tours will go ahead with reduced numbers to maintain social distancing protocols. Bobby Dazzlers will be open for fossicking (maintaining social distancing protocols) and will be serving take away food and drink. Fascinations tag along tours are also available (maintain social distancing protocols). Keep safe and health every one and hope to see you all again soon, Thanks Vanessa and Mick

18.01.2022 Elaine and her Hubbie brought their grandson Jett to the Gemfields for his 8th Birthday. While Jett was here, we made a key ring and 2 necklaces with resin and the stones that the found out of bags of wash. They had a great time and have sent me an email with some photos of the finished product. Thanks, Elaine for your great comments. Vanessa and Mick are great hosts and highly recommend their park, very friendly, helpful and attention to all details. Vanessa set the gems th...at Jett found in resin, with his help and he is over the moon with the results. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, love their work and park is in top condition . We took our grandson Jett for his 8th bday as he loves gem stones, he had an absolute ball and is already trying to organise his next trip. Thank you so much for making our experience amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. See more

10.01.2022 Good morning every one hope this post finds you well and you are enjoying your self-isolation! Just to keep you up to date on what is happening with us at the Rubyvale Caravan park. We are still open but with restrictions on who we can have in the park. I have taken up some casual work at the Clearmont hospital and Mick is looking after the park, still pottering around fixing things and attending to his lovely gardens. As you have probably heard Caravan Park have now been cl...assed as a non-essential business which means that we are closed to holiday travelers. The latest update regarding who can stay in the caravan park is as follows; People who live permanently in the caravan parks or are staying in caravan parks as an interim abode where their primary residence is not available. For these people (only 2 at the moment) we have closed the middle shower and toilet in the amenities block which maintains social distancing of 1.5m. We only allowing one person at a time in the office and there is hand sanitiser for each person to use when they arrive at the office. With only 2 residence in the park at the moment there is still enough room if you need to find a lovely place to park up for a while. Here in Rubyvale we feel quite lucky that we are a small community that is isolated from the big smoke. The grocer shop is still open, you can get fresh food, petrol and toilet paper, the hotel is offering drive through service from 2-8 and they are also selling take away meals. Bobby dazzlers will also be selling take away meal and coffee. So, if you are looking for somewhere to park up for a while Rubyvale is a lovey place to be isolated at! Please give us a call on 0749854118, if you would like further information. I will be calling all our Easter bookings to let them know that we will be closed for holiday makers. Stay safe every one and I will keep you posted on what comes next Thanks Vanessa and Mick

09.01.2022 Hi everyone hope you are having a great Easter even if it is a bit different from last year. Check out last years photo with lots of easter eggs to share. 09.01.2022 Wow... has anyone given this a go?

09.01.2022 Fossicking in the warm sun makes the sapphires sparkle so you can find them easier! We have a designated fossicking area here at the Rubyvale Caravan Park so our guests can go digging on a tour or in the common area, and bring your "wash" back and use our facilities. You can also buy bags or buckets of "wash" (no digging required!) and fossick in the sunshine until the sun goes down or happy-hour strikes! The choice is yours! . .... . . . #Sapphires #Gemfields #Rubyvale #Lucksgotnothingtodowithit #findthebigone #justonemorebag #justonemoreminute #fossickingisaddictive See more

01.01.2022 Julie & Mark bought a bag of wash from a local mine here in Rubyvale and needed some advice on how to fossick for Sapphires. So I went down to our fossicking area and went through the basics with them. 1. Pour some wash into the sieves 2. Shake the dirt off 3. Wash the dirt off in the Whilloughby... 4. Flip the top tray onto the matt and find your gems! 5. Then flip the second sieve over and find more gems! The golden rule is... If in doubt, bag it! Fossicking for Sapphires is relaxing and & exciting all at once!

01.01.2022 As a nurse, I am passionate about safety and first aid, so I invite the Gemfields Ambulance service here to the park on a regular basis to present a CPR and Defibrillator training session. Its free to camp visitors and the local community. You never know if or when you might need these skills! #CovidSafe #CPRTraining... #Defibrillator #Gemfields #Community See more
