22.01.2022 RUC Contract Extension at Costerfield. RUC is pleased to announce a Contract Extension at Mandalay Resources Costerfield Mine. This extension will see RUC conduct all capital development of the Youle orebody and Brunswick Incline development to the Brunswick Pit where a portal will be established. This extension will take this contract to December 2020... This has resulted from the relationship with Mandalay management which has seen the contract go from an initial 12 month contract to 36 months. #mining #undergroundmining See more

21.01.2022 Congratulations Adrian Short from RUC for winning the Murray & Roberts Special Recognition Award for safety improvement initiatives. Adrian was nominated for his introduction of safety lock out devices across the RUC fleet for integrated tool carriers to prevent inadvertent disengagement of the lock out pins whilst personnel are working in work baskets. As we know engineered solutions to safety problems always ranks high in the hierarchy of controls. #mining #safety #engineeredexcellence

21.01.2022 RUC Mining has recently taken possession of the first Caterpillar R1700 MXZ LHD sold in country. The MXZ configuration is designed from the ground up to incorporate full CAT command functionality along with many other features and this will be the intended operating scenario for this unit at Edna May. Combined with RUC’s digital platform roll out for the mine built in conjunction with InSig Technologies we expect to see improved reliability, productivity and reduced cost of operation along with real time machine health and data capture to assist in diagnosing faults early. 18.01.2022 Savage River Update - RUC Mining has been developing the exploration decline at Savage River now since March of this year, progress has been on plan and recently a second diamond drill, (pictured), was added to the project to accelerate the collection of information about the orebody. The decline is at chainage 1,054 and recently our second vent fan was commissioned to provide the required vent to the face. The team has performed well and it is a privilege to be undertaking this work for Grange Resources #mining #undergroundmining #tasmania

15.01.2022 RUC Mining are a proud partner Company of GCR Mongolia. GCR Mongolia is contracted to sink two large shafts for Oyu Tolgoi in the Gobi desert region of Mongolia. The photos below depict the lifting and lowering of the sinking stage, (Galloway) and sub collar doors into the 11m diameter Shaft #4, which will ultimately be sunk to a depth of 1,148m. This represents a significant milestone in the progression of the works on site and we look forward to finalizing the sinking arrangements and progressing with the main sink in the earliest possible timeframe. #shaftsinking #mongolia #mining

11.01.2022 At this time of year the staff and Employees of RUC Mining reflect on how lucky we are to live in a free world even though we are facing challenges with the current Covid-19 pandemic. RUC would like to reach out to all of our veterans this ANZAC day and thank them for their duty in the service of their nation. Led by General Sir John Monash, (an Australian), the close of the war was accelerated due to the heroic deeds of the combined Australian forces under Monash, first ass...embled as a singular fighting unit in the successful second battle of Villers Bretonneux on the 3rd anniversary of the original landing at Anzac cove on 25th April 1915. Whilst the piece below is not related specifically to the ANZACS who fought in the first world war, the consequences for our troops were very much the same. Take a moment this ANZAC Day to spare a thought for those who fought for our freedom from tyranny and still do. 04.01.2022 RUC and Ramelius Set New Benchmark for Development at Edna May. The month of May was a record setting month for RUC! Development was 371 metres equivalent all in, with one jumbo with full support. This is a new target to chase. ... This is a credit to all RUC and Ramelius personnel on site, proving working together can set new levels of excellence. 04.01.2022 MATES in Construction is a charity established in 2008 to reduce the high level of suicide among Australian construction workers. Last week RUC’s head office was ‘MATES Inducted’ on the simple idea that suicide is everyone’s business and that if the building, construction and mining industries in Australia are to improve the mental health and well-being of workers and reduce suicide then it cannot be left to the mental health professionals alone, but rather everyone in the industry must play their part. #mining #suicideprevention #mentalhealth
