16.01.2022 Last night, the Treasurer presented the Federal Budget. As expected, the Budget included numerous measures directed at bolstering the economic recovery. The key announcements have been summarised in the below infographic. The extension of the temporary company loss carry back and the full expensing of assets through to 30 June 2023 will be welcomed by business, but it was disappointing to see, yet again, no reform of Division 7A of the tax law relating to loans from companie...s to shareholders and their associates. There was no reference to the controversial increase of the superannuation guarantee contribution rate which is scheduled to progressively increase from 9.5% to 12% of wages paid by employers. So presumably that is going ahead..watch this space! 06.01.2022 Yesterday we headed out to Launceston College to talk to students who were interested in a career in Accounting. Thank you to the teachers and students for making us feel welcome!

04.01.2022 Last night we attended the weekly trivia night at the Plough Inn Launceston! It was a close contest but one of our teams (The Rockets) were lucky enough to take out 1st prize.
