24.01.2022 SOLD. Hopefully this vintage dressing table is now a piece that will get some use again. It’s treatment involved, lightening of colour with a slightly worn look, changing the handles to something more feminine and giving it a stool.

24.01.2022 How many ways can you makeover a vintage dining set? All you have to do is look past the dark brown and old velvet and anything is possible.

23.01.2022 SOLD. Before Officeworks there was W.C.Penfold, a printer and stationer. In 1886 William Clark Penfold bought the stock and goodwill of a stationery firm on Pitt Street and named it W.C. Penfold & Co. They too sold office desks, but unlike today, they were made of solid wood, usually oak. This early 1900s desk from W.C. Penfold & Co just needed a little attention to give it renewed life.

22.01.2022 SOLD. I loved this piece that had a very short life on our website. A stunning buffet with the biggest mirror I have refurbished yet. Together it made a very grand piece of furniture.

21.01.2022 Some new stock available online now or message me for details

19.01.2022 We have stocked the website with quite a few goodies this week, so please feel free to take a look on lapetitemaisonfrancaise.com.au or send me a message for more information.

19.01.2022 ALL SOLD. Someone asked if I would paint with colour. I definitely prefer a neutral palette on furniture, and colour added with soft furnishings, artwork and decor items. However, I will definitely jump at the opportunity to paint in colour for others.

18.01.2022 Hosting friends and family this festive season? Here's the perfect entertaining table. Rustic French farmhouse solid wood dining table with glass. Tap the link in our bio to shop.

16.01.2022 SOLD. Love the change in these chairs from drab to fab.

14.01.2022 Hi everyone.. I’ve been very very busy doing everyone’s furniture that none of these photos are available for sale. In the next two weeks I’ll get through some of my own stockpile to put up for sale. Here is a little bit of what’s been keeping me busy.. Please note again that these are all SOLD. However, let me know if there are any pieces you like and I can keep you in mind for future pieces.

14.01.2022 SOLD. Adding glamour to your home can be as easy as picking a piece of furniture with good bones and giving it a refurbishment. These lounges now look stunning!

12.01.2022 It’s been a busy week doing some furniture picking. New Stock available online now. Plenty of new home decor items as well. For pricing and measurements please check lapetitemaisonfrancaise.com.au or message me for details.

11.01.2022 SOLD I had this large set of drawers in my stockpile for a while and someone asked to give it the Tiffany treatment. If you are looking for a piece of furniture to suit you let me know and we can source and refurbish to suit your needs.

11.01.2022 SOLD. I really enjoyed refurbishing this vintage Berryman Dining suite and giving it a Provincial twist.

11.01.2022 I failed to get a before shot on this one, as I started painting it the moment it got in the door, but I’m sure it’s not too hard to imagine. This giant is 2.7m long and weighs a tonne! Listed on the website now. lapetitemaisonfrancaise.com.au

09.01.2022 A few pieces that are now available on the website lapetitemaisonfrancaise.com.au or message me for further information.

07.01.2022 Sometimes it’s just a finishing touch that is purchased from me, but I love it when I’m sent a photo that tells me my space is now complete.

06.01.2022 These types of projects are always good for saving an old coffee table. I picked up the coffee table base for next to nothing, as it no longer had its top. I webbed it and covered it, added some foam and black velvet and now we have a lovely bench seat! A much more affordable way of creating a bench seat than buying a costly new one.

03.01.2022 Well I think this is most imposing piece of furniture I have done so far, standing at 2.3m tall and 2m long. It was rescued from the Cumberland Hospital that is being demolished and was delivered in many broken bits and pieces. It is still missing a few pieces, but even so, when I sanded back that top to find Australian Silky Oak, I smiled because I knew I had in my hands a beautiful piece of Australian history.

02.01.2022 SOLD. Just about the prettiest dressing table I’ve ever come across. Belonged to an 83 year old woman who is moving after the loss of her husband. Now headed off to a lovely homestead in Beechworth (once the border opens). Don’t forget to keep an eye out on what is available on the website lapetitemaisonfrancaise.com.au

01.01.2022 A little before and after.. Hard to get armchairs like this at good prices but if you can pick up a bargain it is always well worth it.
