25.01.2022 So you have all this time at home... alone... wouldn’t it be the perfect time to get a puppy? Well, quite simply no. I fear that there are going to be a large number of (now) puppies who haven’t been socialised properly, who end up mal-adjusted with many behavioural issues as they grow up. Let’s not even talk about the rates of separation anxiety that will sky-rocket when folks do get to go back to work.... So, please please please, if you have a puppy or are seriously thinking about getting a puppy, please read the following article, have a damn good think about it, and ONLY commit if you truly believe that you have the capacity to train, engage, play, as well as teach alone time. Rant over...

12.01.2022 So, not sure if you've noticed, but I haven't been shooting anything for a while. No, not because I'm self-isolating, but because I've been looking after my health. Sometimes you need to take a HUUUGE step back from everything, from life, from people, from social media, from pushing yourself... to actively looking after you and yours. As a creative, I go through waves of motivation, ups and downs of emotions, and as an introvert I revert to shutting the world out and hiberna...ting in my own little world, surrounded by the things I love - my beautiful partner, my adorable furries, albeit less one who recently lost his fight with lymphoma , and loving friends and family. I feel quite lucky at the moment, in this weird new ab-normal apocalyptical-feeling world that we're living in, as it's kinda business as usual for me - hiding away from the world. I feel for the folks who can't sit still, who can't stand spending 24 hours with their partners or families, who can't reign in their thoughts. I know it's easy to become overly anxious with all the dramatised news stories out there, but we need to collectively BREATHE and focus on what's really important, look around you, look at your loved ones, your community, there are beautiful things happening amongst the seeming chaos. At the other end of the spectrum are folks like my neighbour, saying "it's all a beat-up, it's a conspiracy". Well, no sorry, as someone who deals with an autoimmune disease, and has a family member with kidney issues, this is no joke. It's not the time to be thinking of yourself as a healthy indestructible individual, it's the time to think of others, the more vulnerable. The only way we will get through this is to be there for each other... (from our own little worlds). Thanks for reading. Stay well folks, and stay away from each other Here's one of my favourite images of Oscar, who I'm missing every single day...
