29.04.2022 A very successful day today here with our Juniors Bushrangers muster. CONGRATULATIONS to every player today. Each of you played your heart out. Quality rugby was on display, no yellow or red cards, fantastic reffing, great positive crowd support, we could not be prouder of our rugby community. Even the rain stayed away for us today! Our Coaches had incredibly tough jobs and all commented that they had some very hard decisions to make today, we did not envy them their job. ... Congratulations to our 2022 BUSHRANGER SQUADS pictured below. 06.01.2022 Breaking down a skill is very useful insight for our players development. It is all about the Why? How and When, and the last one is the outcome Both skills, catch pass and tackle technique was our focus this week. Another great way for the kids to learned is to video their execution of the skill then show it back to them straight after so they can visually see the good tech and what needs to be corrected. ... It might be a long process but that’s what it takes to create good habits. They seem to enjoy it, but they didn’t realise they’re actually doing shorts sprints and shuttle run, and the hidden skills was to pick up the ball and also place it by using two hands they will get better by learning good habits, two hands on the ball. Even Noah had a 10 out of 10 dive on the line ... Create fun environment at trainings and they will be keen to learn and wanting to come back for more #grassrootsrugby #internationalacademy
