23.01.2022 Oh how I love a Sunday morning! Whilst I am still in creative mode getting ready to share new homewares it’s also nice to reflect on transformation, and here is an example of a piece I restyled last year that got a total revamp and new look! (SOLD) Before and after... How many times have we sold/given away something that doesn’t suit our decor anymore? Have you got something at home that doesn’t suit your style? If so I’m happy to give a quote to revamp your furniture to exactly how you envisage.
23.01.2022 So sad but true. Please share
21.01.2022 **LOST** $200 reward This little one escaped from his home in Currumbin Valley this morning. If any one has seen or knows of his whereabouts please call Alfie’s owner on 0414656429.
17.01.2022 SOLD This old Indian cupboard is a such a great size and really is so versatile for any room. I love working with textured timber and with this piece, its been painted with two very similar toned colours, then I've deepened the colour by finishing it off with dark wax. Very solid hardwood timber, completely transformed

11.01.2022 Amazing what a palm tree can produce that can then be recycled to create a one off wall feature. So meticulously done with hours of work but such a reward to see the final product. Finished tonight and looking forward to sharing with you once it is hung up on the wall!
10.01.2022 These matching drawers are ideal if you are looking for larger bedsides, or alternatively as they are quite large, they could be used in different rooms. I chose a nice neutral grey so that they can blend with many different colours. And with a light shabby on the edge, reveal a hint of the first coat of white chalk paint, just for something a little different. Gorgeous! $360 for the pair... 80cm (H) x 59cm (W) X 43cm (D) ---Feel free to comment on my recent hand-made wall hangings - made of palm leaf fiber and seagrass. Another business I would love to start! ---- See more
10.01.2022 Oh how I am enjoying this cooler weather!! (And I am a much more pleasant person to be around minus the humidity ) Each year I am reminded also that the downside is it gets darker earlier and so I only got a chance to take a quick photo of this lovely cabinet and much editing to be able to show the colours as best I could late in the afternoon. But tomorrow I will post more photos to show off the beautiful features/colours of this piece. (Taking this photo, it was so nice to see other homewares that I am creating - you can see 3 items here : wallhanging, concrete bowl and basket all handmade by myself. Exciting times!) Let me know if you are interested and will comment below when the photos are uploaded tomorrow !
06.01.2022 Omg, how funny!!
05.01.2022 After having such a memorable day with my son, it was finished off by being able to connect with this beautiful family. Happy Mother’s Day
05.01.2022 My son, Cooper never ceases to amaze me with his empathy and kindness. He’s not a boy who ever demands, asks for, or wants more. During this isolation time, he is constantly asking ‘do you want any help Mum?’ I’ve even had to say ‘Don’t worry Cooper, I will let you know if I need anything.’ He understands that whilst words are good, my love language is ‘action’. I’ve done the parenting journey on my own since his birth. Many hurdles and hard times, but I have tried to learn... from difficult times. I am truly amazed at how Cooper is so incredibly selfless, even at his age. I might say ‘what do you want me to buy for you at the shops - I want to buy something for you.’ He says ‘ I don’t need anything’. I reply ‘come on of course you do, what can I get you’...he replies with ‘I don’t need anything, as long as I have your love mum, that’s all I need’. These last 2/3 years, many things have happened, one after another, that have been very emotional and this all impacts on my mental health. I have struggled so much to put on a happy face. Shielding my son from these struggles has been important to me, but I know he knows. But during the last 8 months, I have so much passion to start my homewares, and Cooper hears me very frustrated, because I want things perfect, not just ok...I am always ‘nearly there’, and I get so annoyed with myself. School education is important but I am a big believer ‘life skills’ need to be taught from home. A subject that we talk about recently is about being kind to yourself. Don’t put pressure on being ‘perfect’. He replied with ‘yeah, but so should you Mum, don’t be so hard on yourself’. Aha...Lessons we learn from our children...they listen more than we realise. I tell Cooper every day what I love about him and what I appreciate about him, not focussing on what he should do better. When Cooper was younger, I had someone who was quite confident (more like arrogant) tell me a single mother couldn’t raise a son into being a strong, secure man. Another person said statistic say that he will be a rebel and go down a wrong path. Sure it’s only early days, so I don’t know what the future holds. But wow, I wished I could go back to me as a young mother and say ‘don’t listen to them and don’t self doubt, girl...you can do this...’ I am sharing this not to boast about how great I am as a mother or how wonderful my son is. It’s a glimpse of happiness through some difficult times. I know that this is our story today. My journey in life so far has taught me to not be so arrogant to think that things are going to be easy. I don’t know what tomorrows challenges bring. I just know that Cooper shows me how we need to appreciate all we have today and show gratitude, even for the most simple things that we have. Because unless we take notice we often miss the beauty in the little things. I have much gratitude for today
04.01.2022 So sad. I wished there was something we could do for the most vulnerable and innocent.

02.01.2022 Apparently my little helper thinks these drawers would be better used as a nesting box ...
