I didn’t need the bottom part for this version of my desk but it will be put to good use till I decide to get rid of the corner desk and downsize my office. They are all in on the 3rd Industrial Revolution and that involves a lot of data. Most smart businesses are becoming data businesses as well which means a viable business throughout it's lifespan and an increase in value at the point of sale. 12.01.2022 Just attended this live on YouTube. The ideas and strategies discussed here were mainly about bringing back manufacturing in a new ecosystem back to Australia with forward thinking policy frameworks. And talking about how to use people and tech to do so. So excited about this. ... For every manufacturing job there is, there are 5 other jobs created outside that business. Currently, we import 80% of what we need whereas we could manufacture what we produce here and export it to capitalise on the Direct To Consumer Packaged Goods and wholesale market. One example was Wheat, manufacturing it here and exporting it as Flour instead would see the economic injection go into Australia's economy. Another is the energy sector. Andrew Liveris is definitely someone in this panel that got me super excited about Australia's new focus of exporting goods to the $3billion up and coming middle class Asian population. 09.01.2022 There is a new version of Google Analytics, GA4. When you go into your Admin section under Property you will see a new button that asks you to upgrade to this new Analytics. DON'T.... It won't be effective for reading key reports just yet, Google is just getting a little too frisky about it's new updates both with GTM debugger and Google Analytics. When a Zoo like @thesydneyzoo says it’s ok to do this what permission do you think it’s giving international & national tourists who may not realise this is not OK. Native animals are not for our entertainment, they are to be respected and observed. It was a publicity stunt for both of them except I think this one is going to backfire.... Your thoughts?

08.01.2022 The 4 different buyer types in a crisis or recession will definitely influence the way we do marketing and it will be for the better. More business owners are looking at their data to influence business decisions. It will affirm that standards and conversations in marketing are always to real people going through real world events and we all respond differently. Some people will still have the breaks on but they will come out soon with a focus on what is a necessity not an... indulgence and what brings them value, financially, emotionally, physically. Value will be the key position people in the first 3 buyer habits will be looking for whereas the 4th one, live for the day will be happily shopping through Instagram influencers for-e-verrrrr. It's very important to keep reading the room when it comes to your marketing as these buyer types will be in effect for at least the next 12-18months for sure. Overseas it may be longer. Irene

07.01.2022 The sound of UTM's and Cookies could be interpreted as stalkerish and it can be if there is an asshole in your marketing team. One who doesn't listen to and optimise the user experience. But if you have all the bones of a good business and treat your clients like they are a valued part of your business then reminding people who are into you that you are a good fit for their problem can be a good/great thing. Personally, I am always getting interrupted by notifications and me...ssages from family or clients when I get online but it doesn't mean I don't want what that awesome service (mostly) or product that was shown in a post, blog or Ad. Especially if I have either gone from their social to their site and visited 2+ pages in my travels and spent a decent amount of time on their website. Or I had landed there after I had started my research on Google and found some other businesses that don't quite answer my questions and you happen to have your Ads set to the things I am interested in right now. Cookie me, retarget me with Ads that deal with my objections or doubts and eventually I will either commit or lose interest. With UTM's and Cookies you will know when I stop being into your business and you can save budget on your Ads and either put me into a different long term Ad strategy or leave me alone altogether. Smart marketing comes from UTM's + Cookies.

02.01.2022 So this took quite a while to get done but I am super happy with the result as I know when I first came across UTM's I was like, pfft Google Analytics will do that for me. Yeah but not as clean as setting up UTM's in a way that means something to you and your team so you can make smart decisions around your blogging, vlogging, sharing and Ad spend. Have finished setting templates up for a few client teams so that they can see where their efforts are best focused. This is... about making the right impact with your time and budget. You want to know where the waste is happening in your content generation strategy and your Ad spend, this is one of the foundational strategies that will help you do so. It does take time but include it in your Content Generation and Ad publishing Checklist and in 30, 60, 90 days you are going to have some sweet patterns in your data. No hunches, clear insights.
