25.01.2022 Bolt Action Tech Pen, Antique Brass, Purple Heart with a satin finish. When working the Purple Heart the timber looks brown, but as it's left alone oxidation begins and the timber turns purple. That's why I finished this pen with Shithot Wax, so that the oxidation can continue.
23.01.2022 This was an interesting project. A Teacher's Pen. One end twists out a black ink, the other twists out either red or green ink. I used Birdseye Maple in the middle, Box Elder Burl at one end and Buckeye Burl at the other.

19.01.2022 Many years ago we had an African Tulip tree cut down in our front yard. I kept some of the timber out in the weather for a couple of years to dry out. When I cut it up into turning blanks I got a pleasant surprise, the timber was spalted.
