23.01.2022 Hi everyone. I have decided to do movember again this year. Just recently I had some time off work due to the passing of my dad. He passed away from prostate cancer as there is not a cure for it yet. Please chip in a few bucks to help find a cure. For anyone over the age of 30 next time you go to a GP ask to have a PSA reading. It's only a blood test and it could save your life Regular pics will be posted along the way of my growth progress

22.01.2022 Cat run completed. Using an existing frame and pergola that was already at the property.

19.01.2022 1500x820 shower base installed and tiled. Ready for shower screen

18.01.2022 Last week was splashback tiles week

18.01.2022 Ensuite Reno. Shower stripped out and floor tiles removed. Polymarble shower base installed. Marble 300x75mm tiles as a feature wall. A 700x400 niche was installed and 300x600 white tiles on tap wall. A new shower screen fitted along with 300mm shower head and taps. A new vanity was installed with marble top and above basin sink

16.01.2022 Did a full Reno on this job. It was stripped right back to the frame. First we fixed some damage floor boards and built a new bath hob. Then we laid a new shower base. After that we started sheeting the ceiling and walls. Waterproof went into the shower recess and over the bath. The vanity was installed. The floor tiles were laid as well as the wall tiles in the shower, bath and vanity splash back. All the tiles where grouted and siliconed and the shower screen installed. Then it was time for paint where the new roof was painted as well and the walls and timber work. Toilet was installed along with all the taps and it was done. All the work in here was done by us except for the plumbing

14.01.2022 This shows the importance of waterproofing and doing things the right way. I started this job Tuesday as a water leak coming from the shower that puffed up the MDF skirting boards in the joining rooms The house is 10 years old and has been maintained pretty well. As you can see in the first photo it looks quiet nice still. In photo’s 2 and 3 alarm bells started ringing. No silicone around the shower outlet to tiles, dops of glue holding the tiles on and the biggest fail water...proof as thin as watered down paint. In photo 4 you can see the timber is so rotten that it can no longer hold itself together and is cracking and turning to dust! Photo 5 shows the shower reces pulled apart with the screed not taken up too. Notice there is no waterproof on the floor below the screed too. Many things were done wrong when this was built. Lack of adequate waterproofing. The wall tiles where laid before the floor tiles. The internal corners were originally not silicone but grouted. No silicone behind taps or shower outlet. The wrong method of sticking tiles to the wall. All of this damage as someone that did the original job has no idea how to do it properly

11.01.2022 Ensuite bathroom competed. New stepless shower. 300x600 niche with a single panel screen. The tiles are 600x600 wall and floor. New splashback tiles were laid aswell

11.01.2022 Nice new picket fence that we have been working on lately. A new entrance gate was built and some driveway gates as well. Also put a rail on the side house fences to match the front one! before and after pics

09.01.2022 We are having fun converting this old container into a small house. Set to have a shower, toilet and washing machine at one end. Kitchen and living in the middle and a decent sized bedroom at the other end!

04.01.2022 Runcon are looking for a sub-contract worker. Looking for someone that's a carpenter that wants to learn more skills of how to tile and plaster, as well as doing a range of carpentry work. Applicants must have ABN, own car and prefer basic tools to complete jobs listed. Work is based around Bacchus Marsh and surrounds primarily but travel to some jobs may be required.
