Louise and Cathy are in training for the Antarctic Ice Marathon but I am happy to report, they are not causing any super icebergs to calve. This was a natural event. Check out the story below. 24.01.2022 In 2012 Louise Edwards and Cathy Emerson raised funds to support the ongoing establishment of a medical clinic in Ghandruk village in Nepal, by running in the 2012 Everest Marathon Race. Two community projects led by World Expeditions (2011 & 2012) undertook a major renovation project at the clinic. The 2012 group wore promotional t'shirts to support Louise and Cathy

22.01.2022 Louise texted to say she completed the Everest marathon race in Nepal. Brutal is the only way it can be described she says. She ran it in 8hrs 15mins. Well done Louise from the Sanjiwani Public Health Mission team

20.01.2022 What is happening on the 13 December 2019? Louise and Cathy are competing in the Antarctic Ice Marathon. We are counting down and Louise and Cathy are pounding the pavements getting fit and ready.

14.01.2022 Thank you St Josephs College Ferntree Gully Victoria, who recently held a casual clothes gold coin donation day to support Louise Edwards who is raising funds for Sanjiwani Public Health Mission Nepal. Louise shared her upcoming Antarctica race story and how funds raised will benefit people in Nepal. Thank you Louise for passing on the Nepal story to these children. Every $ raised improves the health of this community in Nepal.

10.01.2022 Hot running for Louise and Cathy. "It was tough and hot" was the comment from Louise after completing the 2019 Outback Marathon Race in the middle of Australia, near Uluru. Louise and Cathy are training and building up for their attempt at the Antarctic Marathon Race later this year. Great to see this racing duo cross the finish line. Well done ladies. Keep Running for Sanjiwani.

07.01.2022 How do you get to Antarctic to race? In a Ilyushin IL-76 aircraft, flying from Punta Arenas, Chile and landing on a naturally-occurring and maintained ice runway on the Union Glacier. With a wingspan of 50.5m, after the 4 1/4 hr flight, Louise and Cathy will take their first steps in Antarctica. The girls will then hop into a specially adapted van for the 8km ride to Union Glazier Camp.

05.01.2022 Members of the Sherbrooke Forest District Scout Group are supporting Louise and Cathy's Antarctic Ice Marathon attempt. Louise was a guest speaker at their recent meeting, speaking on what motivates her to compete in these marathon events. The upcoming Ice Marathon will be the 7th Marathon for Louise and Cathy. When finished they will join the 7 Continents Marathon Club. Louise spoke about the joint fundraising effort she and Cathy are undertaking - 'Run for Sanjiwani' - raising funds the medical clinic in Nepal. Thank you to those who donated to this cause. 05.01.2022 12 WEEKS TO GO until the Antarctic Ice Marathon. On Sunday Louise and a group of Viking Sisters ran in the Mornington Running Festival as part of Louise's training program. Thanks to all the lovely ladies who wore the Run for Sanjiwani shirts to show their support to Louise.
04.01.2022 CATHY AND LOUISE ARE ON THEIR WAY. Stopping in Puerto Natales, then head to Torres Del Paine National Park tomorrow for a 5 day hike - LAST fitness test before the big race.
