A massive credit to you Frank as well as to all others involved. Congratulations to Nathan Wilson Training Stables for presenting and showcasing Mr Duck's ability to the highest calibre. Mr Duck's progeny will be certainly highly sort after.. If you missed the pre-works video of Mr Duck in action we will post this shortly. 14.01.2022 What a successful weekend for Running Cool brand ambassadors Team Flemingo! 100% completion!! The Mata Stables Bullio Cup Endurance Ride was held on the fabulous Newcreast Gold lands, hosted by Canobalus Club.... Flemingo Endurance Arabians took five horses for the 120km event and a range of enthusiastic riders. Our youngest rider was Kaja Robinson who rode Duray Spartakos along side the very talent ride Modena Schofield to place equal fifth junior. Both girls had fun in the Best Condition workout with the Ride like you robbed a bank event proving to be a crowd pleaser. Vic Alran rode the beautiful mare Flemingo Saphire to place 5th lightweight in great novice time of 9hr 54mins. This now puts Vic into open endurance ride status!! Sharon Schofield finished 8th middleweight on Aloha Desert Thor. There where many great moments over the weekend, but the highlight for me was taking out both the Best Condition Middleweight prize and the Fastest to vet award on Flemingo Bomsaway with a ride time of 6 hr 38min (49 HR average). We placed third middleweight. Our strapping team consisted of Davo and Mikaylah Newberry who both did an amazing job managing the five horses and riders over the four leg 120km event, to ensure the success of the team. Thanks for all your hard work! This track was remarked towards the end of the week to allow for a wet weather event, passing through forest and farmland tracks. I'm very proud of my riders and their mounts. For three horses and two riders it was their first event over 80km!! Well done! I must credit CERA polyurethane horse shoes for their protection for both horse and rider! And the best farrier around John Davidson! Thanks also to Running Cool extruded horse feeds who kept our horses fuelled and looking fabalous throughout the challenging weekend. And thank you to all the organising committee, volunteers, Vets and other supporters of this sport that spent their weekend providing such a wonderful annual event. 13.01.2022 Last Saturday "Sammy" and I set out from Stirlings at 3pm for the 80klm ride in uncertain weather conditions. He started well and travelled with power and stami...na. At 5 oclock a massive thunder, lightning and blinding rain storm hit us and all other riders on track, making the track slippery and dark. Nervous ride as lightning crashed trees around us and the pelting rain blinded our way but so proud of my horse staying focused and connected and bought us back in safely after the first leg up with front runners. Vetted through with A,s and made the decision along with many others not to continue in such dangerous conditions. He received the Gold Award by QERA, Thankyou very much, for completely successfully over 3000 consecutive klm with no Vetouts, in fact he has never VO. They include wins, BC's and 2 x Quilty buckles to list a few. To say I am proud is an understatement considering his humble beginnings. He was... beautifully bred by Heather Kochel with his dam being Balcara Lady Rose and his sire Menander, and has developed over the years into a fun, loyal, careful, sensitive horse who continues to give of his heart and spirit.
