25.01.2022 Time Travel Tuesday drawing is one of my early artworks using some vintage Pelikan ink that I found in a garage sale. Cool little bottle and I like the way it sweeps from dark to lighter blues. Its also on the back of most of my business cards

24.01.2022 Time travel Tuesday....2016, this was the start of my love affair with the Tawney Frogmouths. Do you know why they are not Owls....Why? Unlike owls they don't have curved talons on their feet; in fact, their feet are small, and they're said to walk like a gout-ridden man! Their species name, strigoides, means owl-like. Hope you are having a great Tuesday

19.01.2022 "My King" My first Lion drawing in colour. It had a rocky start with me ready to toss it in the bin.... except I loved my lioness. So I went all in with the black ink. The fear of over working was not there as it was a lost cause already.... And now I love it. Lesson learned, don't give up, make it work

18.01.2022 Ok, so let's lay it out.... because I really struggled this morning The benefits of pedalling to the bus stop with the kids: 1. Save on fuel 2. Help the environment 3. Save on gym costs ... 4. Kids get fitter All good points, so I just need the message to get to my eyeballs which so did not want to be open at 6am. I was lucky that its still winter and the cold slap of wind on the down hill cruise kept them open. But I survived, and what a gorgeous morning it is. Happy Monday everyone!

14.01.2022 I have a love-hate relationship with the computer and have discovered that the shopping cart for the website was displaying a Flat Rate shipping of $15....for everything. THIS IS INCORRECT The actual shipping is revealed after you put your location in. I apologise for any confusion, and thanks to those who persisted to the correct shipping.... I have removed the Flat Rate mention. I have also been able to get the shipping rates down a little further yay! $5.45 for Books and T'shirts $13.45 for framed and larger original artworks

11.01.2022 A bit outside my usual box for this commission. The charcoal and pastel allowed for a more earthy approach, yet still treated with the same simplicity. A softer look for more emotion and sensitivity.....what do you think?

10.01.2022 Fantasy Friday....you thought the other one was freaky, love to know your thoughts on this next one "Hovering Occult" Was having fun with oil pastels again and I actually carved back into the pastel with this one. Started with the image of a monkey, but not sure what the grabbing of the but cheeks was about though I guess... what else do you do with feet hands :)

08.01.2022 Fantasy Friday...the day you get to see how really twisted I am....now where to start?..... Bare bums of course, in colour this one is called "Midnight Warrior" and drawn in oil pastels (Yes drawn not painted, I stand against the ridiculousness of some artists telling me they paint with pastel) My favourite part is the horses head but its not that clear in this pixilated image. And yes the distortion in the muscles in both the human and horse were intentional to follow for...m with the rocks It's not that I was an angry young woman in my twenties, it was more looking for strength and power. I guess it was in line with the age of getting your own footing on life and standing strong on your own. A lovely lady in the mountains has this on her wall, she liked the lean towards erotica...which I guess...could fall in line as well

08.01.2022 Mt Walsh, be brave. You will find yourself climbing rockfaces you never normally would, except for the "you can do it" painted on the cliff face with an arrow pointing straight up :) feel alive, experience what you can while you can.

07.01.2022 Wacky Wednesday, these guys were drawn back in 2015 and are featured in many of my Digital collages. Unfortunately, the original pencil artwork was damaged during a very wet exhibition up at Melany. Lesson learned, your usual drawing cartridge paper absorbs moisture from the air in humid locations and can badly warp the paper. Fortunately, I don't have that problem with the ink artwork as I use watercolour paper :)
