22.01.2022 MEMBER(s) OF THE MONTH | OCTOBER Well well well what do we have here? It's a tie! The votes are in, and the Running Wild Crew have spoken. Congratulations to our two trail-running, box-loving, training buddies.... Martin AND Teresa! (This was super close, as there was one other amazing member only 1 point behind these two!!!)... Here's why the members voted for Martin in October: "He pep talks me on the run sessions, and he's such a gentleman" "For running back down the [very steep] hill after the run session had finished to check in on me and make sure I was okay" "For his youthful side and enthusiasm" "He's thoughtful and considerate" Here's why the members voted for Teresa in October: "Even though I give her bruises [in boxing], she still comes back for more!" "For her enthusiasm during training, and the encouragements (assistant trainer) she gives others during the sessions" "She's an absolute machine and always motivates everyone to kick ass during sessions" "She's always keen to get going!" Both Martin and Teresa have each scored themselves 2 weeks of FREE training, and bragging rights for the entire month. YEAH!!

20.01.2022 Time to break out of the house, the indoor sweat factories, the cramped office space, and the crowded gyms. Running Wild Fitness returns on Monday 4th January, and we are PUMPED to be back outdoors and back to training!!! We're a locally owned, small outdoor training group that loves the fresh air, the wide open spaces, and the ability to train on the go! As "Running Wild" literally translates - we love to go roaming, training at various parts of the park, down by ...the river, and occasionally the trails or the coast! Whoever says you need a trailer load of bulky (or fancy) equipment to get fitter, stronger or faster have obviously never trained outdoors before! We adapt to the heat, the cold, the wind, the rain, the various terrains, the inclines, and the declines. But most of all - we have a great bunch of people to train with! We use a variety of portable equipment from boxing focus pads, kick shields, dumbbells, medicine balls, booty bands, resistance bands, battle ropes and Crankit (TRX) straps - so your muscles won't be denied a tough workout! The best bit about our training is that we're super adaptable! We cater for beginners, through to the keen athletes. We thrive on the awesome supportive group vibe, and train for mental health, a stress relief, and work towards supporting long-term habits and consistency with exercise, as well as chasing down some scary goals. 20.01.2022 Last night we changed out of our active wear, let down our hair, and put on our party shoes for a night out with our gorgeous members Being such a tight-knit tribe, we wanted to revel in the fact that our hard-working members "survived" outdoor training throughout the cold, wet months of winter. Not only did they commit to training when motivation is usually at its lowest, but 9 of these incredible people smashed through 13 solid weeks of our Ignite Winter Challenge with... absolute guts! 3 teams went head-to-head in a battle for the title as Wild Winter Legends, and I was so proud to see just how quickly they bonded, and worked towards a common goal (perhaps to sabotage the other teams for the win ). So here we are, celebrating the great commitment and dedication these guys have put in to their winter training. Cheers to that Challenge results and the recap will be posted shortly
19.01.2022 KICKBOX RUMBLE Mondays aren't so mundane if you kick off the start of the week with boxing! How you start your week is how you're going to finish it. So gear yourself up, throw on some gloves, and prepare to kick some butt! Go get it, team!
19.01.2022 Holy guacamole! She's done it! Karina is the 4th superstar member to crack in to the 300+ session category!!! You may not see many photos of Karina during training, but that's mostly because she's hidden behind the camera - Karina, also fondly known as KP, has been our legendary photographer for many of our sessions and events over the past couple of years, and without her amazing photos, we wouldn't be able to capture our members in action whilst we get to have all the fun...! KP is known for her clumsiness, her injuries, and many "blonde" moments, but she's one of the most welcoming, warm and loving people I've ever met, and she's a damn good rock who is firmly cemented in the Running Wild family. So even though she's spend many sessions snapping pics for the biz, KP has still managed to rack up a high session attendance in that time! Woohoo! Well done, Karina!
19.01.2022 BODY BLAST (RBT) Resistance Band Training & Medicine Balls Group training lifts your mood, that's for sure! With some old school bangers blasting from the stereo, the team were fired up for the buddy workout morning Half the team on the bands, and half on the med balls. 40s on / 10s off for 6 rounds before swapping. Throw in a few core & sprint buddy relays and... job done
19.01.2022 WILD WEEKENDER | It was all about good friends & great adventures Although it was only a short time away, we managed to cram an epic amount in! With our accommodation only a 100m stroll to the Dunsborough beach, and a short drive to the beauty of Meelup & Cape Naturaliste, we couldn't have picked a better spot for a South-West WA getaway. The early Friday arvo arrival led us to a yummy lunch (& delish tiramisu , compliments of the chef!) with the evening spent wandering ...along the beach, and settling in for a home-cooked meal and a few board games. Saturday morning kicked off with a 30 minute HIIT workout (burpees were inevitable, obviously ), breaky & and a drive out to Meelup to hike the trails & beaches through the national park (armed with some awesome snacks for the midway rest break!) Lunch was served up at Eagle Bay Brewing Co, which had a beautiful vista, yummy pizzas , tasting paddles & a great rendition of the Titanic out on the playground We filled out the afternoon with a nice little siesta in the sun, before heading to the beach to watch the sun go down, and the tide roll in. The evening was mostly about feasting on all the amazing food that everyone cooked up, and playing pub trivia games that saw everyone's competitive side come out. Sunday check out came around quickly, but the holiday was not over yet! We packed our bags and set off to Cape Naturaliste for some whale watching & snake avoiding Our next stop was Yallingup at the surfer's cove with some morning tea and a refreshing dip in the ocean Our last stop led us to Busselton Jetty where we finished off all our leftovers for a picnic lunch, and then said our goodbyes and headed for home. By far one of the best weekenders I've had in a lonnnng time. Stunning location, epic adventures, and a superb bunch of people. I don't think I've ever laughed so much (Alice will know what we're talking about!! ) If you missed out this time round, we are already making plans for the next one. This may have been our first, but it definitely won't be the last.

18.01.2022 WILD CHASE Sundays are better when they start like this! There's never a dull moment when out running with this wild bunch. We ran, we walked, we played, we laughed and we celebrated our achievements over a delicious breaky. Some ran 8km, some ran 13km & some just monkey'd around! Lake Monger & Herdsman Lake - done!

I missed many training sessions because no one cared if I showed up or not. 12.01.2022 Wow!! What a year!! 2020 might have been a roller coaster year, there is so much we can be grateful for this year. It reminded us of the joys of an adventure. ... To get outdoors. Explore. Experience the beautiful places in our own backyard. To remember to play and have fun. It’s a way of life. From running, riding, surfing, camping, walking, to taking a moment to relax in our downward dogs. Life is an adventure so let’s live it! Adventure is about challenging ourselves to be better. Trying new things. Being brave. It reminds us of our true Wild Spirit. It makes us feel alive and new again. It’s a stress reliever. Makes us feel good. Most importantly, it connects us together so we can share these memories. It’s why I love doing what I do. Wild Ones is about sharing the joy of an adventure. We're back outdoors and training at the park, we're back from a little festive break, and we're back for another year of butt-kicking, goal-digging, adventure-chasing shenanigans. Let's go team! 08.01.2022 Behold! Our latest training champ is none other than the amazing Kirsten! This super mum is a regular 9am'er, and she sure packs a punch when it comes to boxing! But if she had to choose what her favourite session is, I reckon she'd pick Core Biter (or anything that involves the booty band). Disclaimer: this may or may not be true It's well and truly time to celebrate this momentous occasion, as Kirsten has just smashed out 100 RW sessions!! Yippee!!
07.01.2022 WILD WEEKENDER Wow! Wow! Wow! Who'd have thought a long weekend away was just what the doctor ordered?! Turns out that after the hectic, busy year we've had, this was certainly a welcomed sea change! 10 of us packed our bags headed for Jurien Bay for 3 nights. From staring at sunsets, casual drinks, many games of pool, paddleboarding, swimming & rescuing blown away umbrellas and crickets at the beach, riding, running, eating, Netflix, chill, and afternoon si...estas. Even with punctured tyres, jellyfish stings, snake encounters, and cracked windscreens, we pulled up just fine Let's do it again!

06.01.2022 LITTLE VICTORIES ARE A BIG DEAL From progressing your push-up or plank on your toes instead of your knees. From running out of breath in 20 seconds, to running continuously for more than 5kms. From turning up to the session when you didn't really feel like it in the first place. We're all at different levels of fitness. Some are just starting out, whereas others are a long way into their fitness journey.... No matter where you're at, make sure you celebrate every single little victory, because what really matters is that you've made yourself proud for every step of the way.

04.01.2022 Woohoo!! Race #2 complete of the Perth Trail Summer Series with Wallygrunta this morning and we've got a few category wins to share! Here's how everyone went; GREEN COURSE - 4.5KM... AMY 12th place in her category, and 57th female overall. BLUE COURSE - 10KM ANTHONY1st place in his age category, and 10th male overall. KARINA 4th place in her age category, and 23rd female overall. MARTIN 2nd place in his age category, and 46th male overall. TANIA 16th place in her age category, and 50th female overall. EVA 2nd place in my age category, and 5th female overall. Such a great course! There was such a nice breeze thanks to the winds floating about! The first half of our blue course was uphill, and the final 5km was kinda like....weeeeeeeee!!! Alll the way down and the best bit overall - breaky with the crew afterwards of course! Next up for #3 of the Summer Series is Qi Gong on the 17th January. Come and get amongst it. Walk, jog, run, or sprint - there are distances to suit everyone!
