20.01.2022 Due to a reoccurring stopper bone injury sustained in a slick trial leading upto the Ballarat cup heats in 2019, We have made the decision to retire king to stud. This dog had an amazing strike rate winning 26 out of 42 races, while only being unplaced in 3 of those.. 15 of his wins came in BON times across most tracks around Victoria, He’s early speed, Hard chase and professional attitude made this dog an elite sprinter across Victoria. He trialled near records on a few tracks, while coming within a couple of lengths during his race career multiple times.. A consistent, High speed, Hard chasing greyhound with a will to win at all costs attitude..

20.01.2022 Happy new year! Hopefully 2020 is a great year for everyone and brings plenty of joy! Let’s start the year off right with a replay of the 2019 Cannonball sprint. A great run to chase down some very fast sprinters and win in a very hot 22.16 over the 400m at Geelong. Only 2 lengths outside another track record for king..

18.01.2022 The return was well worth the wait.. it’s been 8 months since the last time he raced due to a broken stopper bone. Today he made his long awaited return to the track at Healesville over the 300m, He had a dream return clocking a very slick 3.86 - 16.40 in a 5 length victory which puts him into the VICBRED final this coming Sunday. It will be a day by day process with seeing how king pulls up and we will take each day as it comes, But so far this boy has shown great determination and courage to make a return to the track and his showing us he still has plenty to give! This dog is the ultimate professional, He’s now won an amazing 27 races from 43 starts, in 35 of his 43 starts he has been either 1st or 2nd and only ever missed out on a top 3 finish 3 times overall. It’s great to see him back doing what he loves to do!

18.01.2022 It’s been a long 8 months since we last seen him on a track. He sustained a broken stopper bone injury 1 week after his last race in a trial at Ballarat for the cup heats an injury that is very tough and hard to recover from due to the amount of pressure put into it when running. We made the decision to retire king to stud after re-injuring the same stopper bone coming back the first time... Fast forward 4 months down the track after the second incident, We had king maintain...ing fitness and staying healthy ready to commence stud duties when he was showing all signs that he didn’t want to finish up racing just yet. He’s determination and love to chase was as high as it’s ever been. After a few weeks our trainer who has put in countless days/weeks of work to get this injury right made a decision that we will give it one final chance, It’s a day by day process coming back from injuries like these, But a dog like king, He is born to race, He loves to race and will do anything he can to have that chance just one more time. Last night was a step in the right direction. He had his first run over 300m in 8 months at Ballarat in a satisfactory trial. He pulled up well today which is a huge positive out of the run. He ran a blistering 8.24 early split and very quick 21.91 in his first 390m run back over the short, Last week out of the puppies he ran 4.03 - 17.27 showing he’s back and ready to run. We have our fingers crossed that his body can hold up and we can all see him back doing what he loves! See more

15.01.2022 Today we made the trip down to Healesville to contest the Super Vic Greys final over the 300m, Starting $1.50 fave in just his second start back he began cleanly and managed to burn upto the lead before pulling away for a 6.5 length victory beating a couple of nice dogs in doing so. He now sits at a very impressive 28 wins from 44 (64%) starts with 41 of them starts being placed in the top 3 (93%) He’s consistency, Chase and will to win is something that makes him such a great racedog. He’s run within a couple of lengths of a few track records at different tracks and beaten some of best sprinters over the country tracks around Victoria time and time again. Fingers crossed he can keep healthy and fit and we can see the best of him yet. The video is below of his win today! https://fasttrack.grv.org.au/RaceVideo/RaceVideo/557054199

13.01.2022 Flashback Let’s go back 2 months to the Group 2 Geelong cup where we ran a huge race to only get chased down in the final stages by one of the quickest dogs Australia has ever seen. One of my all time favourite runs, Showed plenty of speed and acceleration this night to lead the cup easily..
