25.01.2022 Yet another strong result from our WAPF team with a 9-0 win over ACT. Our boys were hungry to settle the score with the Capital side who last year nicked the br...onze medals from our grasp during the final day. Today was also a big day for our youth development program with major milestones for two of our up and coming stars. Young Rafferty Bacon made his debut for WA with a solid show in the back line and almost squeezing in a cheeky goal with an outer foot chip over the defender and keeper just wide of the far post. Giacomo Izzo also scored the first goal of the game which was also his first-ever goal for WA. If that wasn't enough, he went on to score another two to seal a hat-trick. The boys will enjoy the rest of the day off in recovery followed by the Pararoos formal Gala dinner before it's back to the drawing board with two important games tomorrow against South Australia and Victoria. Next up, South Australia on tomorrow 830 am AEST. Can we go the distance?

18.01.2022 So proud of this lot! Regardless of the result, this was by far my favourite Nationals. We were united as a team and gave it everything until the final whistle. Some special moments:... We had two 13 year old players who held their own and showed some magic. Big futures ahead. Stay tuned. Ole mate @c.t.barty showed everyone that hes not just @pararoos number 1 keeper, but a bloody good centre back. @moseley_connor_9 went to the next level as a player... The kid has always had amazing skill and a cannon for a leg, but this year he showed he is a leader of the future. Jared was cat between the sticks and deservedly won Goalkeeper of the Tournament. And... well shell hate it if I didnt mention it . But Im pretty proud of the @thevibrantwanderer for being the first WA representative at this tournament. Congrats on your first goal. Enjoy the camp. Thank you to everyone who was a part of this journey. #Eleven4One

17.01.2022 SOUTH WEST WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL COMPETITION It has been a while in the making, but I'm pretty stoked that we have the opportunity to show the value of inclusive sports in the south west. A big thanks to BBA, BWA and Rebound WA for making this happen. To all my mates with disabilities who don't normally get the chance to participate in mainstream sport... now is your chance to prove a point.... And to my mates with busted knees/hips/back/ankles/legs/feet, this could be a your opportunity to get back into a challenging and competitive sport. This is our chance to prove that inclusive sporting opportunities are required in our region. I would love to see you there.

Which I am super proud of but why is it so important to me? ... Its meant that; - I didnt accept no you cant - I followed my passion - I travelled the world - I conquered many fears The list could go on and on... But most of all, it has provided me with the opportunity to connect with so many incredible people with disabilities. People who are achieving the most incredible things. Breaking down barriers one conversation at a time. These people give me hope that one day we can provide everyone with the opportunity to be who they aspire to be. A completely accepting and inclusive community. To all my fellow people with disabilities... Keep doing what youre doing.

Next Tuesday from 4:30pm (even through the flyer states 4pm) at Hands Oval in Bunbury, we will be holding... and All Abilities, All ages C'mon Try event for AFL's 9's. This is something that we have been working behind the scenes on for a while and it great to finally make it live.
