22.01.2022 Thank you to our volunteers! As part of National Volunteer Week, we wanted to take a moment to recognize the amazing people and faces who made last year's event possible. From registration, recovery, aid stations, course marshalls and cheer squads, everywhere you went was someone who gave up their Sunday to support you ...and in one extreme case, they gave up their Saturday making signs of support (sorta, kinda!) ... Volunteers are the backbone of a community and we thank each of you for all your work, dedication and support - always!

16.01.2022 IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE In light of current circumstances and the constant changes and somewhat uncertainty around what the coming weeks hold, we wanted to take a moment to provide an update on where Run Shellharbour 2020 stands and the plans for the coming months and how, if you're in a position to do so, can help... - December is still a long way away and we remain confident and optimistic about seeing you all again on Sunday 6 December! ... - Yes, your entry fee will be refunded in FULL if the event is cancelled due to COVID-19. (EDIT - the processing fee is non-refundable, but this is not 'ours to keep'. For transparency - $1.50 p/transaction and a 2% merchant fee for the total amount (which is a bank fee for credit/debit transactions). The processing fee for the half is $3.10 - enter the 10k and the Half and you're looking at $5.20 as an example... - We will have additional safety measures in place and are working through all the necessary requirements and regulations to ensure the health and wellbeing of runners and their families. - PLEASE if you are considering entering, don't leave it until the last minute to do so. We can't force you to commit and understand in the current climate, that there's a genuine risk doing so, but having a better idea of numbers helps us know with a higher degree of certainty what needs to be put into place and allows us time to get the necessary approvals from NSW Health. We also don't know what limits, if any, will be enforced and don't want to see anyone miss out as we simply may not be able to cater to the late influx of entries. - Make the most of the Early Bird sale while it lasts - register now: https://bit.ly/RunShellharbour20 This is unchartered territory for event organizers. 11.01.2022 With a heavy heart and after much deliberation, we've made the agonising decision to postpone Run Shellharbour 2020 until Sunday 2 May, 2021. Due to current restrictions on gatherings and the ongoing threat of Covid-19, we don't believe we are in a position to deliver this event to its full potential and while the news continues to improve in NSW, the ongoing threat and inherent risk(s) are too high for this year's event to run the way in which we want it to. This is more t...han just a run. It's a celebration of amazing people doing amazing things and when you take away all the elements that allow you to do that, you lose the very essence of what we set out to achieve in the first place. With the extra time to plan, we've got a little surprise up our sleeve for May too - stay tuned! Parent are encouraged to run alongside (or just try and keep up!) or the kids are supported with a team of experienced and qualified volunteers so you can be there to capture their smiles under the finish arch! Yes - COVID-19 is making committing to anything (and planning for that matter!) a nightmare but we're hopeful of a return come December and we'd love to see you there too!
