21.01.2022 Overseeding paddocks with Rye, Clover and Saia Oats mix.

20.01.2022 Dont feed the birds! Make use of a proper seeder that will ensure good spacing and placement of seed and less exposure so less get eaten by birds! This speciality seeder has front and rear spiked rollers to loosen the topsoil, create a good seedbed and the back roller applies pressure to create good seed to soil contact. The seeder has twin seed boxes (for smaller and larger seeds) with precision fluted cups to acurately deliver seed at the correct rate. For more information visit the website www.ruraljacks.com.au

05.01.2022 Horse paddock with electric offset and white sighter wire in stalled this week. I used galvananized strainer posts & anchors concreted in for long term service!

04.01.2022 Equine fencing: horses have a tendency to hurt themselves if your fences have loose wires or are in poor condition generally. One of the best solutions is to use braided polyrope or polytape fencing (with energizer). This delivers a light electical shock if the animals lean on the fence, it is also cheaper than full fencing and is ideal where you would like to devide your pasture into smaller paddocks for rotational grazing

01.01.2022 Make sure you have a plan going into the rainy season! If you want to get pasture in, make sure weeds are cleared, soil prepared, ready to put seed in when the rain starts.
