25.01.2022 DO YOU NEED A NUCHAL TRANSLUCENCY SCAN? Rural Medical Imaging has appointments available NOW. Nuchal Translucency Scans can only be performed between the 11-13wk stage of pregnancy, so having to wait weeks for an appointment is not ideal.... Rural Medical Imaging has qualified Sonographers with Nuchal Translucency (NT) certifications at our Atherton, Mareeba, Innisfail and Edmonton practices. There are specific booking requirements and preparation for Nuchal Translucency scans, so please contact our practice to discuss your future appointment. 07.01.2022 Rural Medical Imaging has recently introduced changes to its Bulk Billing policies at our Innisfail and Atherton practices, and we would like to Thank all our patients for their understanding and patience during this transition. These changes have been a necessary step to ensure RMI can continue to provide medical imaging services in these areas. Any patient that holds a current Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card, DVA Card (see picture for examples) or is under 16 yrs... of age will be eligible for Bulk Billing of all services. Patients that do not fit this criteria will be required to pay for X-Ray and Ultrasound procedures on the day of their appointment. CT Scans will still be Bulk Billed to all patients. Medicare rebates may be refunded back to you via Direct Debit into the Bank Account you have registered with Medicare, or by visiting your nearest Medicare office. These changes only affect our Innisfail and Atherton practices, all other Rural Medical Imaging practices still Bulk Bill all procedures (within Medicare guidelines).
