11.01.2022 Throughout the week multiple Gold Coast Rural Fire Brigades responded to assist Fire and Rescue crews with a large grassfire in Carrara. Crews undertook backbur...ning and patrol activities over several days and nights to contain the fire and look after nearby residents. Events like this show that we are not just restricted to rural areas, but we are called in to assist in all areas of the Gold Coast. The $1 levy that the Gold Coast community contribute through their council levies is integral to allowing us to provide this vital service to the community. We are hoping that with your community support that the council will continue to collect the levy on the rate payers behalf and support us to be able to support you.

08.01.2022 Big night on the Bruce Highway. A cane truck fire takes time and resources to extinguish. While the urban brigades worked on the fire we acted as a water supply, filling up at the nearest hydrant and returning to supply the firefighting truck which added foam to extinguish the fire with the help of an excavator.

07.01.2022 It’s not all about fires Called to assist 454 Cooroy with trees down tonight Thanks Robert

05.01.2022 9 Truckless Rural Fire Brigades will be very happy. The very worthy brigades who will receive a donated fire truck are listed by gravity. (North to South) click on link below https://rfbaq.org/9-truckless-rfbs-will-be-very-happy

01.01.2022 Yesterday we sent a crew to assist with a rescue on Teewah beach where a paraglider crash landed in a tree. Due to the Location and being 12 m high the rescue required manpower and a QFES rescue team. All ended well with the paraglider being brought safely back to earth.
