10.01.2022 We have done some major work on the farm lately and it was so good to put it all to the test and see how happy the horses are with our efforts. We had the wond...erful boys from RuralOpps come through to do phase 1 of our major fencing plan. They have done an awesome job building our core fencing foundation. We now have the property split into 9 grazing paddocks which are 5 to 7 acres, each paddock is linked to one of 2 approximately 1000sqm loafing yards with a water trough and shelter (only one has shelter so far but we'll get that sorted soon) so when we want to do rotations we just need to close one paddock and open the gate to the next. We have also set up 5x 1 acre paddocks so any required quarantine, separations or paddock sacrifices can happen efficiently and with low stress. Along the highway we've set up 3 long wildlife, regeneration and trail riding corridors which we aim to also incorporate into a mountain trails style obstacle course as well. Next stage will be to replace all the old fencing that is currently functional but not perfect.
