08.01.2022 THE SHOWS CAN’T GO ON AgQuip & FarmFest CANCELLED Organisers of the annual AgQuip and FarmFest field days have announced cancellation of the 2020 events.... Following consultation with federal and state government, public health authorities and agencies, ACM Rural Events has advised that due to the ongoing uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic restrictions these field day events would not proceed in 2020. AgQuip, usually held in August, had been postponed to November and FarmFest, usually in June, had been postponed to October. It is time to make the call to cancel these events for 2020. Considering the size, scale and complexity of such important events to the primary industry and the regional and rural communities, we need surety in order to proceed. said ACM Rural Events Group Manager, Kate Nugent. The new lockdown controls now in Victoria and the potential for further reimposition of restrictions in NSW have created further uncertainty. Our decision is primarily based on our concern for the public health and safety of our exhibitors, attendees and staff. Kate said, we hoped conditions might have improved to the point where we could be confident the events could be staged safely and effectively, however this has not happened. This was to be the 48th year of AgQuip which was first staged in August 1973 and has grown to become the largest and most influential event of its kind in Australia and is one of the biggest in the world. It was to be the 45th staging of FarmFest, Queensland’s biggest primary industry field day. AgQuip and FarmFest will return bigger and brighter than ever in 2021! CRT FarmFest field days will be next staged on the 8 to 10 June 2021. AgQuip field days will be next staged on the 17 to 19 August 2021.

07.01.2022 On behalf of the team here at Fairfax Rural Events we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.
