03.01.2022 Sedan Dip Update As our usual weekend rolled past recently; we would like to let everyone know that the committee has been busy upgrading the water infrastructu...re at the ‘dip! No more dribbling hoses. With help from David McMahon, Sport Grants QLD we were successful in receiving a grant from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund. Along with some generous support from Andrew Bambrick at Rural Pumping Solutions who donated a 52,000 gallon water tank and supplied our materials, we are excited to announce that; - We now have a fully pressurised water network for camping - The working bee was well attended by 25+ committee members, many hands made light work of the project. Sedan Dip is extremely lucky to have a committee that will contribute so much time, machinery, materials and sweat. Christine Jarman and Harry Portas experience tank building was exceptional and if anyone was looking for a capable tank building team please get in touch . Here’s some numbers from our weekend; -52,000 gallons of water -1.8km of 75mm poly -2.2km por 63mm poly - 60 + water points -75psi - All of Julia Creek Hardwares thread tape We have a few more upgrades we are hoping to finalise before the next event and are looking forward to a very social 2021.
