25.01.2022 Early in the year I created a vision board with all of the goals I wanted to tick off and things that are really important to me, and this morning I took some time to reflect on them... some I definitely smashed, and others I didn’t, but I’m damn excited to put those ones back on my vision board for next year I’d love to know one thing you absolutely nailed in 2020 and something you need to keep working on!

13.01.2022 http:// RAISING BABIES AND A BUSINESS // This is about as real as it gets... Life right now is messy. It’s a beautiful mess of changing nappies, washing sheets on the daily because one little boy is struggling BIGTIME to toilet train, it’s tantrums, skinned knees, and snuggles on the lounge watching Friends and the Big Bang Theory. It’s making sure everyone is fed best I can, and trying to keep a clean house and grow a nice garden. It’s sometimes shifti...ng bed in the middle of the night, and worry over the shitstorm that might be creating with my clingy baby. It’s a world full of anxiety, about anything and everything, and then trying to remember to take a deep breath and know that it’ll all be ok. It’s explaining that roast potato and hot chips are in fact one and the same , and reminding little people to pee INTO the toilet bowl, wash their hands, brush their teeth and use their manners. Then there’s a business... A business I am so incredibly passionate about, but honestly gets minimal attention right now, because well, all of the above. It’s a business full of supportive women that keep me sane on the days that mumlife could just swallow me whole. It’s a business that helps me to show up as the best version of me. It’s a business that will run with me when I put my shoes on and sit with me when I need a break. It’s a business that pays for all of the extras that life has to offer. It’s our nest egg. 03.01.2022 Before I joined the network marketing profession I was feeling extremely lonely, isolated and depleted as a new mum. My husband was contracting away most of the time fencing and yard building to provide for us, and consequently was missing out on so much of our babies lives. Contracting can provide a great income, but there’s also lots of personal expense and maintenance that goes along with it, which meant that we weren’t really getting ahead... He was away, I was lonely,... and we weren’t living within our greatest value - FAMILY. One day a friend came over for a coffee and mentioned to me that I could start a business from home, work it around my babies and create an extra income for our family. Pfffft whatever I thought... that’s not something I’m interested in. Weeks went past and this online business thing kept playing on my mind until one day I thought to myself... what the heck have I got to lose??? I wasn’t happy, I was yearning for some community, and little did I know, I was also yearning for a sense of purpose and a way for us move the needle and create a life that DID allow us to live in our highest value. So, I got started. I paid the small fee required to set up my business, my virtual office, my personalised website, and gained access to a myriad of free training and mentorship to help me get started and tick off my first goal (to earn $120 per month ). 12 months later, my husband stopped contracting and we took a position together managing the beautiful place we now get to call home. 02.01.2022 Had some bananas that needed using (which never happens ) so I whipped up this super healthy banana bread a few days ago. This is THE BEST clean version I have tasted!! Husband even approved Would also make great muffins for school lunchboxes. 5 tablespoons coconut oil... 1/2 cup pure maple syrup 1 3/4 cup mashed ripe banana about 3 1/2 large or 5 medium bananas 2 eggs 1 teaspoon bi-carb soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups buckwheat flour :: Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Spray a loaf pan with cooking spray. Lay a sheet of parchment paper across the bottom and up the sides of the pan. Melt coconut oil in a large bowl. :: Add the maple syrup and mashed banana to the bowl and whisk to combine. Whisk in the eggs. :: Add the baking soda, salt, cinnamon and vanilla to the bowl. Whisk until very well combined. ::Add the flour and mix with a rubber spatula until just combined. You want all of the flour to be incorporated into the batter, but try not to over-mix. :: Transfer the batter to the prepared baking pan. Bake for 55-65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean. Check on the banana bread after 35 minutes and loosely cover with foil as needed to prevent the top from over-browning. :: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then transfer it to a wire rack to finish cooling. :: Store banana bread at room temperature for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months. Cool bread completely before freezing. See more
