These people are ...some of the most conscientious, hard working people on the planet. If we don't support the local food producers they will go away, and we will be stuck with the commercial, unresponsive, and harmful mega-farms. 2. We think that it is important for people to know where their food is coming from and what has been done to it. When you know who grew your food, it feels different to prepare and consume it. For the grower, it feels much more satisfying when you know your customers personally. 3. We believe that communities who are resilient and prosperous are better for everyone in them. Keeping the food dollars local, encourages enterprising creativity and an exciting vibrancy to our neighborhoods. 4. Food is a focal point of sociability and when we come together as growers, producers and consumers, we feel more "at home," secure and warm-hearted. That satisfaction leads to greater understanding and peace.
