23.01.2022 A FEW IDEA'S FOR THE GARDEN

22.01.2022 Taradale another very wet weekend , Woodend was out of the question so back up to Taradale for a nice little drystone garden border . Always a pleasure working for Pete and Jane . Love my job

22.01.2022 Rustic Creations wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and happy new year.

20.01.2022 Last one for 2019 Client in Gower had an issue with a North facing wall on a stunning 1850/60 stone dwelling ,that had rotated leaving the wall nearly 200 mm out of plumb and a huge blow out in the middle . Normally it would have been underpinned , however the cellar prevented that . With an attic over the top it presented some challenges . In the end we drilled metre long Steel rods into the internal stone wall and chem setted them in . Instead of underpins we poured two p...ins along side the cellar wall 1000x1000x400 . these were tied into the cellar wall . This will hopefully help stop any further rotation . After this was completed we started on the repointing . All the joints were pressure washed and chiselled out , to a depth of approx 100 mm then filled with a lime , sand , cement mix . The clients were pleased with the end result and have now decided to strip the render off the front of the home and re point the stone .. See more

20.01.2022 Taradale job complete . With several clients cancelling due to CV19 , Looks like i'll be working at home Stay safe everyone Darren

20.01.2022 Magnificent home in Gower , Clients wanted the render pulled off the front wall to expose the stone work . Once that was done we repointed and repaired anything that needed it . Came up great , it's always nice to work on such historical buildings .

20.01.2022 Some of what we do

18.01.2022 Nice little kitchen prep job in Kyneton . The owners are re doing the kitchen in a stunning early 1900's home . Out with the old wood fire and needed the opening re sized for their new stove and range hood .

17.01.2022 Taradale Old shed conversion , will update with more pics when completed

16.01.2022 Homestead Kyneton Nice little outdoor setting ! I'd like to thank Ross and Anne for the great opportunity to work with them in their garden . Your vision is amazing . None of the garden design is by Rustic Creations , it is all theirs and it's a credit to them .

13.01.2022 Woodend Outdoor entertaining area . Getting close now .

13.01.2022 Weather at Woodend Job RAIN surprising ? No . So turn around and up to Barkers Creek , an historic Gold Mining area near Castlemaine . The client has an amazing garden and I was fortunate enough to be asked to construct a fireplace base , for one of the entertaining areas . Thanks Ben , looking fwd to working with you on the other projects .

12.01.2022 Small job in Taradale Paving, drystone beds , steps , seats and paths . Have I mentioned , Love my job .

12.01.2022 Some pics of recent jobs

11.01.2022 Fire Truck / Wood fired oven . Internally it's a 1200 mm cob oven , whilst it can cook pizza, roasts and anything an inside oven can , it's primarily a bread oven . The outside of the oven can be just about anything a client wants . They're not a cheap item , but apart from the overall value added to your property , you will find yourself using it to cook meals more often than expected .

10.01.2022 For all your Garden , Home and Entertaining area Needs, Look outside the box . Feel free to message us here and we will get back to you as soon as possible . Thanks

09.01.2022 Smith Family , Kyneton . First stages of the landscaping are complete , the client is arranging more pavers to go all the way to the entrance . I'll add more pics when we recommence .

08.01.2022 Taradale , Clients had an existing retaining wall and steps that had been installed around 20 years ago . They decided it was time to refresh the area .

08.01.2022 More woodend pics . Rain is playing havoc but shes progressing

07.01.2022 Woodend , so close to being finished . Another couple of days on the outside at the rear , but thatll be in a weeks time . Im really pleased with the results and so are the owners .

06.01.2022 The Clients in Woodend wanted an up grade to their outdoor living area . Stage 1 The initial plan was for a rendered brick fireplace and 2x wood boxes . Eventually we came up with the combined granite / red brick and mineralised stone finish . The new fireplace is approx 1200 mm wide and 850mm off the FFL , with a 600mm seat edge the full length. There will be 2 wood boxes , with one having a rear door to enable loading from outside of the area . Stage 2 ... The pool tiles were lifting in places and had to be removed . The Clients decided to modernise by removing the 150mm lip surrounding the pool . Theyre going for Random stone , roughly 750 mm wide as the new edge . This will be flush with the rest of the area , avoiding any trip hazard . It was also decided to square off the semi circle ends and the spa . Stage 3 Clients are making an out door kitchen . This will require 2 x stone pillars and a step along the front . Ill keep updating the photos

05.01.2022 Harcourt , Clients wanted a water feature close to their outdoor entertaining area . It was decided that wed use the natural granite shelf that ran through the... property as the river and gather it in an old concrete water trough that was dug out of the ground from another section of the property . Sealing the trough was a challenge , as was finding a solar pump large enough to handle the 6 m river and head of 1.8m . See more
