25.01.2022 Many thanks to our volunteers today who helped remove rubbish along the entire Rushworth to Whroo road in preparation for next weekends wildflower hunt. Well done and thanks to all involved! It great to see people who care about our town and forest in contrast to the very few who dont. And some greenhood orchards spotted in our endevours....

Come along and enjoy a variety of garden related market stalls..., guest speakers, kids activities and tunes by talented local musician Grim Fawkner. And don't forget to bring your shopping bags along - our aim is to create a waste free event! See more

13.01.2022 Weather looking good for the wildflower hunt on Sunday...

11.01.2022 The day of the "Wildflower Hunt" is nearly here! Prior to the event we are going to organise on Sunday the 19th of August to clean up the roadside from Rushworth to Whroo along the Rushworth-Whroo road as part of Keep Australia Beautiful Week which takes place from Monday, 20 August to Sunday, 26 August, So if you would like to give a helping hand we will be meeting in front of the Moto Cafe at 10am on Sunday the 19th. The clean up should only take 2hrs at the most.... Participants will be provided with all safety equipment necessary for the task and should bring their own water bottle and wear sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather. 07.01.2022 First "Lilac" native orchid this year, spotted quite close to home in the Rushworth Forest a few minutes ago. The Golden Guinea orchids should be next to bloom.

05.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who helped on the wildflower hunt on Sunday. Although there were not many wildflowers out we had a good turn up of over 130 people who enjoyed some magnificent weather for walking and exploring Whroo and the surrounding forest....
