22.01.2022 A most successful wood raffle and sausage sizzle was held this morning out the front of Perry's Butchers. The Historical Society and the Machinery Club have joined forces for the "Wizard" Restoration Fund, to raise a bit of money to help keep it on the road Today's wood was won by Kerrie Raglus. Thanks to everyone who supported the morning

21.01.2022 Due to government advice regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to protect our volunteers, many who are elderly and therefore most vulnerable, the Rushworth Museum will be closed until further notice.

18.01.2022 It’s extremely frustrating to have to write this but sadly our little shop was broken into over night . Lucky nothing of value was taken, but the stupidity wa...s shown in the flipping over of our table and setting off the fire extinguisher. Very petty acts, that while not major, do cost money, time and effort on our behalf and the local police who have to deal with it. The solar powered security camera on the corner of the petrol station block was also damaged and the security company have been notified, now they also have the time, costs and effort to fix that. Hopefully no one else around town suffered at the hands of these criminals. If you saw anything please let us know. To those responsible, please find activities of value to do with your time. Stop using the I’m bored excuse and put your efforts into bettering yourself and the community, a lot of us grew up here and we managed to find plenty of things to do without ruining other people’s property. Oh and thanks for wasting my Sunday Kellie. See more

15.01.2022 The Historical Society would like to thank Jim Wills, Rod Bain and their assistants Mathew and Maurice Mo Dent for the many hours of work they have done so far on the Wizard. Latest information says a couple of leaks which will be remedied this week and she will be back on High Street.

Originally there was a crew at Murchison East, to work the branch, but after their removal in the late 70's, the running fell into the hands of Seymour, and with me being the new boy on the block, I was first in line for the task. When I first started going out there, Graham...Continue reading

03.01.2022 Do you recognise this distinguished gentleman. It is believed that he was born and reared from around Rushworth. Served in WW1 and probably lived around Tatura after the war. Any information will be greatly appreciated
