20.01.2022 A very happy belated 1st anniversary to these two legends! Their wedding last year was nothing short of amazing. The day started out sunny and then he bucketed down like crazy, and then the sun came out again. It kept going like this right up until an 1hr before the ceremony was to start. The plan was to have the ceremony down in the forest at @theburroweventspace but to be on the safe side, we quickly moved everything indoors. ... I’m going to take a moment here and say how incredibly fast the guys @theburroweventspace managed to set up such a beautiful space indoors for everyone. So if you’re looking for somewhere next year to have your wedding that has both the option of an indoor and outdoor area, get in touch with them ASAP! Ok, so back to the story. Ceremony was moved indoors and luckily it did because it poured again just as Sophie was stepping out of the car! Phew Sophie’s dad officiated their wedding and soon after, it was party time. Notice how Sophie was wearing another dress for reception? She totally surprised Tim with it. (Don’t you love a dress change for reception?! ) Pizzas and drinks were flowing, music was pumping and everyone was literally on the D-floor (I wonder if we’ll ever get to do this again...) Here we are a year (and two days later), I hope you guys had a beautiful day eating lots of pizza and reminiscing on what a beautiful love filled day your wedding day was. From Josh and myself, Happy 1st wedding anniversary you guys!

20.01.2022 EDIT: JJ our 6yo took this shot he has been practicing back button focus with my old camera so this day, he got upgraded to one of my mark 3’s I was literally shitting myself when he was using it around the rocks and river But he did really well lol Our 2 requests we had for him: shoot portrait so we can have the top of the mountain in the background and make sure you focus on us ... It was so funny to see him doing it because his hands were tiny and he couldn’t hold the camera properly (thought he was going to drop it!) but he came up with a weird way of holding it and it worked! Oh New Zealand! You have just been incredible Sitting here at Christchurch International Airport and wondering when we’d be back again. 18.01.2022 Hey everyone! Rusila here No, I am not still pregnant this was me at almost 42 weeks. -... Our little baby arrived a little later then we had wanted but it was still good - Baby Soli arrived 2 months ago on the 9th of Jan. On his own time surrounded by his ever so proud big brother and Dad! We free birthed him at home and his birth was everything I had imagined and more - Anyway, we absolutely love him so much and can’t imagine life without him. It’s like he was always here with us - We’d like to take this time to say a big massive thank you to all our couples! Your patience at this special time of our lives is truly appreciated. Replying to emails, editing, posting to socials and everything business have been so slow as we adjust to becoming a family of 4 now. - So we have a lot to catch up on. We’ve got engagements to share and an awesome wedding that I can not wait to show you all!

11.01.2022 Mr + Mrs Bourke | Oct 19th Wow, what a wedding!! Despite the rain and gale winds, we absolutely had a blast! Katie + Mitchell live and work in Canberra but they both come from farming/country families. So it was only fitting for them to have their wedding at Katie's parents sheep farm in Emu. ... They both have so much love for their families and love DIY's. So the week leading up to the wedding both families came together even the guys from Canberra, to lend a hand on getting the farm ready. Scroll through to see how they transformed the shearing shed into a magical reception area. The ceremony location was by the Emu creek where Katie and her siblings would spend their childhood swimming in. Mitch made the arbor and Katie's Dad stacked up stacks of hay as a wind barrier on the day. The beautiful celebrant Georgia from Married by Georgia surprised the couple with a poem which everyone read out aloud *insert crying face here* Before she surprised everyone, she asked if everyone could grab a loved ones hand and hold it while reading the poem. Man, that got me! Swipe through to see (also grab a tissue!) The whole day was just beautiful. It was so much fun ‘working’ with you both Katie + Mitchell, and we really enjoyed spending time with both your families who made us feel so welcomed. 10.01.2022 I (Rusila) woke up this morning with a weird dream about a wedding we’re going to shoot soon don’t know if it’s nerves or something else but it felt sooo real! Between Josh and I, I’m the dreamer. He rarely dreams which is another weird thing I find I’m always dreaming every night! Anyway, I’ve never dreamt about any weddings before so this kind threw me off guard a bit nothing bad happened in the dream. It was just all WEIRD. Like the bride having two dresses, one of ...which was only for taking photos and the other one she was going to wear. Then the groom was up on the roof, wearing some kinda tutu and he was asking me to take photos of him like that? and I was so blown away by the amount of hours we had for portraits! I kept looking at the time thinking, surely they have got to he’d back to reception soon because I don’t know what else to do with them! so bizarre Does anyone else dream a lot?

09.01.2022 Mr + Mrs Hartland | October 26th 2019 We shot our last wedding for the year on Saturday ( as we prepare to wind down for our beautiful baby's arrival in December) and what a beautiful way to end it then celebrating it with our beautiful friends Courtenay + Matt. As usual, the weather wasn't really on our side. It hasn't at all since this season started. Regardless, it didn't get the couple down. The sun came out just in time for family photos and portraits by the beach an...d pier. Congratulations Mr + Mrs Hartland! Thank you for letting us share in this joyful day. We wish you all the best as you embark on this wonderful union.

08.01.2022 Sophie + Tim kick starting this next season for us We always try to keep our engagement sessions fun so when our couples turn around and say they enjoyed their session and had fun, we do a happy little daggy dance and have a big massive smiles on our faces like Sophie does

08.01.2022 Throwing it back to when we could get together with friends, not wear a mask, hug each other, laugh, see smiles, sing and dance! I’m hopeful that we will get to do all this again one day ! ... We have now opened up bookings for 2021. Unfortunately Feb & March is fully booked. 02.01.2022 We’re slowly catching up with our editing amongst doing small house renovations before this baby arrives in T-minus 6 Saturday’s time Yesterday we delivered Sophie + Tim’s wedding photos. This was probably my favourite part of the day, when Tim + Soph shared a piece of pizza and then it all turned out like the cartoon of the Lady and the Tramp except instead of spaghetti it was cheesy mozzarella

01.01.2022 Recently we’ve been asking our couples if there are any elements they’d like to incorporate to their shoot to make it more unique to them. So Katie + Mitchell brought their 15 week old puppy!! They travelled all the way from Canberra with little Winnie and oh my gosh!!! The shoot was so totally about Winnie jokes jokes. But yeah, if you’re booked in with us for an engagement session, bring whatever you’d like to bring!
