25.01.2022 Were back!! A huge heartfelt thank you to all our community for your support this morning. As always you were amazing. It is wonderful to have our Foundation to Year 2 students back in classrooms. Now for Years 3 to 6 in a couple of weeks.

25.01.2022 A huge thank you to all the mums who led our Mother’s Day Stall today and helped the students find that special gift. Happy Mother’s Day for Sunday.

25.01.2022 It was excitement plus at our annual Teddy Bear’s Picnic last Friday. Our Year 6 and Foundation Buddies enjoyed various picnic games such as egg and spoon races, tunnel ball, parachute, vortex and sack races. We were thrilled with the level of participation, respect and sportsmanship demonstrated throughout the day. After all the activities the students enjoyed a picnic and some relaxation time with their buddy.

23.01.2022 This week our Foundation students celebrated their first 100 days of school with a remote disco. It’s been a very different 100 days and we are so proud of you all. Congratulations!!

23.01.2022 Thank you to the Ruskin Park community for supporting our Colour Run. We hope you had as much fun as we did. The event would not have been possible without the tremendous efforts of Katie and our Family and Friends Network. They spent considerable time planning, setting up and running the event. Not to mention cooking the sausages. Thank you also to all the parents who jumped in and helped with the throwing of powder.

23.01.2022 A special weekend for Mrs Burgess and the choirs. On Saturday, our Senior Choir was an important part of the Croydon RSL Remembrance Day Service. This was followed on Sunday with an enthusiastic performance by the Junior Choir at the Maroondah Festival. We are proud of you all!

23.01.2022 The 2018 Ruskin Park Book Fair has begun! Please come along and support our school by purchasing a book. There is a wide range of books to choose from and we even have books from as low as $1. Youll have to get in fast as these bargains are racing out the door. The Book Fair is located in the library from 3:30 4:30pm on Thursday 23rd, Friday 24th, Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th. We look forward to seeing you there!

20.01.2022 Our Grade 6 camp is progressing well. They have enjoyed visiting the Australian Institute of Sport, Royal Australian Mint, High Court of Australia, Australian War Memorial and Parliament House. So much to see and do in Canberra!

18.01.2022 Our Grade 5 campers have returned with some great stories to share. So much to see and do at Sovereign Hill. We hope they sleep well tonight.

10.01.2022 On Thursday recognised the importance of ANZAC Day with a special ceremony in our school gym. Led by the students, and attended by Mr John Woolhouse from the Croydon RSL, we listened to emotive poems and a performance by the senior choir. The Last Post and Rouse, as well as laying of floral tributes were also significant moments. Thank you also to our Senior Choir who represented Ruskin Park PS at the Croydon RSL ANZAC Ceremony last Sunday.

09.01.2022 We hope you have enjoyed the holidays. The classrooms are nearly ready for the arrival of students on Thursday 31st January. Please remember the office will be closed on Tuesday 29th January as staff will be attending a conference in the city. It will be open on Wednesday 30th January for any families still needing to collect books. See you on Thursday!!

08.01.2022 There was great enthusiasm, sportsmanship and many chants today as students participated in our annual House Athletics. Participation was the focus of the day, with students provided the opportunity to rotate through a series of track and field events. These included discus, shot put, long jump, triple jump and various running races. Even the teachers participated! A big thank you to all the parents who assisted on the day. The event would not have been possible without you.

07.01.2022 A fantastic effort by Chloe and Rianha at last nights Rotary speech competition. The girls spoke with great confidence and expression and had the audience captivated. Congratulations to both girls, Rianha finishing in first place and Chloe third. This follows on from the wonderful efforts of all Year Five and Six students who presented speeches at school to their classes.
